You know that saying, patience is a virtue? Expect to test that saying when you lunch here. It's busy as hell on most days, but the food is worth the wait.
Great pesto shrimp
If you don't like going to Nico's for lunch because it's too crowded, try going for breakfast. The fish & eggs and fish omelette are both super good, and their loco mocos are the best I've ever had...
Excellent place for breakfast. Fish and eggs is always a winner!
The new Nico's is bigger and better! We recommend the poisson cru, a Tahitian version of poke marinated in lime juice and coconut milk. It's so ono! -Dining, April 2012
Not sure why they labeled this French restaurant. It's mostly plate lunches and seafood. Very delicious.
Furukaki ! Awesome Ahi
Furikake Ahi and Loco Moco are pretty good. Fish & chips plate is probably the worst I've had on the island. Poke is so-so; much better at fresh catch
Anything ahi is good here. The loco moco here is winnahs too!
Omg, their blackened fish 'wich sandwich is DA BOMB!!!! I want another!
The freshest seafood you will find in town.
long order line? gonna eat in? WELL den, just go 2 da bar & sit, bartender will take care of da rest - order drinks/meal & relax (hint: like eat poke, too? buy @ store first). Aloha!! ;-)
Furikakeahi is sooo good! Come early to get a table by the water. Friday's they have live music & Hawaiian plates :)
Save money by ordering the left over fish parts! The flippers and gills are the most swallowable!
Definitely try whatever is the fresh catch of the day. It's worth it.
I always get the catch of the day. Freshest seafood anywhere.
Try daily specials
If you like shrimps, don't miss garlic pesto shrimps .. Thumbs up .. If you are into fish checkout furikake pan seared ahi cooked to perfection
This place really fills up. Go before 11:30 for best chance at finding an open table. I love the Furikake Ahi and the Deep Fried Ahi Belly and usually the catch of the day.
Garlic pesto shrimp is ok. The blackened fish 'which is better. Really tasty. Highly recommend this. The Hoisin BBQ chicken is good too. Lots of chicken at a great price
Fish and chips are amazing!!!!!
Loooove the cilantro sauce!
Try the Furukake Pan Seared Ahi - #ʻono definitely my #goto (via @Foodspotting)
Try the Opah With Scallops Mousse Over Mixed Greens - Ordered the special, wow! Delicious. (via @Foodspotting)
Fried egg over fried rice for breakfast is killer.
Ample parking in the nearby lot, free of charge. The Fish & chips is awesome, the seafood pasta was ok but the sauce was very thin, the local plate lunch was great! DO try the deserts they are amazing
Two words: AHI BELLY!
Poke bowls are really good and reasonable.
I will recommend you to taste the swordfish which is globally ok. You should come for a Friday lunch to benefit from a live concert.
A must have. Furikake ahi! Medium rare
Delicious fresh fish! Keep an eye out for the special of the day (My kukui nut crusted ahi was amazing). Also, their chocolate chip and peanut butter Reese's cup cookies may make you cry with joy.
They have a new flavor of soda...Fanta blue vanilla. It looks and tastes like cream soda. Yummy!
Ahi belly was great. I chose brown rice at no extra charge.
fried ahi belly paired with a Stella on draft. magnificent.
Webcam is awesome
perfect early dinner to wait out traffic. bouillabaisse was delicious & the view & company were excellent!!
The ahi is definitely a signature, but their bouillabaisse is amazing as well! I normally don't like bouillabaisse but it was definitely worth the risk this time! So good!
Lets go bowling.
Oh my FAV place!.... The best on the "road".....
Excellent fresh fish. I love the fried ahi tuna belly. You have to get there early for lunch since I think much of the active duty personnel also eat there too!
Furikake pan seared ahi is a must for seafood lovers and first timers!
The blackened fish'wich is amazing! Make sure you have a drink handy it's got some heat!
Ask for the Apple Long Island
Try the steak frites. Amazing!
Good beer and better seafood.
