Let's get this out of the way first, Portland Lobster Company is definitely a touristy spot, but beyond that, there is some good food and fun times to be had here. The deck is huge and overlooks water
If you dont eat seafood dont came here. Food is not all that. Its like a tourist trap and I didn't see anything special about it. There is no waitress and you have to carry your order to the table
Best Lobstah Roll & Best Seafood Restaurant (Best of Portland '15, Portland Phoenix) "… offers Maine’s main dish with a waterfront view. Some of the best bands around … jam at the ocean backdrop"
Make sure you order first then ask for a table outside! While you wait check for a high top by the music! It's a little loud out there. Great Maine lobster!
Good lobster roll (comes with fries too, which seems to be rare around here) Corn on the cob very good. Great view. Local beers. And reasonably priced.
Great lobster rolls (not too much added, so you get the full lobster flavor), good beer, and a great place to hang out outside on a sunny afternoon. A highlight of our trip to Portland!
Giant portions of awesome food! Not a long wait, and plenty of tables outside to enjoy the view from! The staff are all very friendly too!
Not all lobster rolls are created equal, but this one has fresh lobster meat with a slight buttery glaze and is nestled into a toasted and buttered bun with just the right amount of mayo.
Amazing fresh lobster that you can eat right on a pier and listen to live music. You order your food from the bar and then pick it up after your plastic lobster lights up.
live music, drinks, and fresh seafood on the water - you can't ask for much more. everyone said to try the lobster roll - so glad I did! it was outrageously good!!
Drove over an hour to try the lobster roll. Would drive 2+ hours if in the area in the future. Amazing food, all chunky lobster meat in the lobster roll!
just your standard lobster roll here with melted butter on the side. still delicious & the fried scallops are a must!
Get the lobster meal for the total Maine experience. fresh lobster, cole slaw, corn on the cob and fries. $17.99 and more filling than the lobster roll!
Try to sit in outdoors tent in the middle between the heat lanterns, so you can enjoy your meal in cozy warmth next to the live band playing!
What a great place for a Lobster Roll - Cold beer - live music and good view. I wish they were open year round!
Wow, the seafood, the view, the staff ... Too bad they are not open year round. Some the best in Portland for food, entertainment and great down time
Ridiculously good lobster roll! Get there early because there was a wait, but worth it (plus drinks on the pier while waiting? Yes, please!)
Sign in first. Order food 5 minutes after that way you are guaranteed a seat once u get ur food. Awesome view and lobster feast!
The tip from Epicurious is erroneous; the lobster roll here is dressed only with a drizzle of butter, no mayo at all. In any case: DELICIOUS!!! :)
Now I see why they won the 2011 Lobster Roll contest! They give you "a lot" of lobster and it's perfectly cooked!! This is a must try!!!

Great atmosphere! The lobster rolls and lobster dinners are delicious and fun to eat while listening to the live music
Nice location to stop by and have a quick and delish lobster roll lunch for tourists.
the lobster roll was alright, not really worth the long wait but certainly worth the view and chill vibes on the back patio!
Darn good lobster roll, but steamers also delish and onion rings super yum. Live music and picnic tables in the sun....ahhhh
Had the lobster roll with mayo. Excellent! Will try the lobster roll with butter next time!
One of my favorite outdoor seating areas in Portland. Love the food, the music, and the overall atmosphere.
The lobster rolls aren't flavorful, the bread is dry, but the actual lobster meat is good.
The Maine shrimp wrap was yummy and I loved the corn on the cob! Plus they have the best buzzers. :)
Recommended by local chef Erik Desjarlais: "They have an outdoor deck right on the water, freezing cold beers, and a lobster roll worthy of a James Beard award."
Very pricey, but a decent lobster roll. Alagash Export Ale is awesome. Great summer outdoor venue on water.
Great place to listen to a local band play and enjoy Maine's famous lobsters!
Waterfront lobster roll with a beer, listening to live music during sunset. Was a fantastic time! Best one I've had!
Share the fishermans delight. The haddock and scallops are awesome. Live free music til 9pm
Haddock sandwich, French fries, and a lemonade are perfect on a summer night in Portland.
On top of great seafood—and really friendly staff—the chicken tenders are awesome
Great food, we lucked out but it can get crowded, quickly. But definitely worth it.
Great spot to drink a cold beer while staring at the ocean. They also have live music
The sea burger was great. Like a crab-cake sandwhich but clams instead!
Crowded and noisy, service difficult to understand for a foreigner, but good quality and ok prices
great spot in Old Port, enjoyed the lobster rolls and local beer.
Simple melted butter over lobster meat is better than the mayo version any day.
Amazing fresh lobster & losbter rolls! I recommend 100%
Great Steamers! Live music every day till 9pm in Summer
The Lobster Roll and Lobster Stew were exceptional!!
Remember, don't throw the lobster crackers away. Making this public service announcement as we did... sorry
The fish sandwich was outstanding. Beautiful day sitting on the water eating seafood.
Crazy good onion rings...worth the dietary "splurge"!
