People tend to check in during these times:
Get the soupy dumplings.
Dan makes the experience here a cut above.
Lovely place with delicious and very fresh food. Make sure you have time for a leisurely lunch though as the service is very slow.
Ask the phenomenal staff for a recommendation. They know their stuff!
Dan is intense about tea... I like it! Get him as your waiter.
Overpriced. Small portions. Lots of rain.
It's not the same without Dan. Get him as your waiter if you can.
Sit down! Try the Osmanthus Oolong!
Amazing, but overpriced :( especially the teapots for two. The dumplings, although $8 a portion, are delicious and worth trying. Chicken with spicy sauce and soupy pork are the best!
The chicken dumplings are fabulous, could eat here everyday! Ask for extra miso sauce. Try the Ginger milk tea iced- Delish!
Try their Green Tea ice cream... yummy
Serves Silver Needle, the caviar of white tea.
Get the dumplings for a nice lunch. I like the woodear mushroom chicken ones.
Veggie dumplings. Yes. Spinach and mushrooms. Yes!
At $9, the Green Tea Cold Noodles is perhaps the most budget-friendly of the larger dishes, to make for a filling meal.
The second show for our 2012-2013 season has started so it's a pretty stressful time for us. This is the perfect place for us to relax and find the most calming tea on the menu!

Soupy pork dumplings lunch box! So good!
Tranquility in midtown!
Try the summer treasure tea!
Great prices for menu items, service was a little slow.
Such a charming, serene tea house in the middle of crazy and loud midtown. Service is gracious, if slow. I'll be back--this was a human place!
This is my favorite tea spot in Midtown. Quiet, peaceful, lovely bites and a tea list that's divine.
This is one of the best restaurants
You can get tea to go from here! They make it quite quickly. Iced mint tea is perfect on a hot midtown day ;)
Try the ocean breeze tea. Very smooth. No need for sugar
Great atmosphere. Soupy dumplings and iced teas are the best.
Yummy shrimp wontons and lavender tea
My client just told me about their new 208 East 50th St location. Healthy Chinese food e.g. Goji berries + dates thrown in. Chinese herbal soups. One of few places in NYC where you can buy Pu'er tea!
Try the Ancient Path tea!!
Great Atmosphere & Food...
Green tea utopia dessert. Don't leave without one.
There is no boba. None. I repeat. No boba.
Food and tea are still quite good. Service this time was horrible. So bad it might be our last visit. Painfully slow, wrong order, not good at making any amends. #Fail
Lunch rush seems to be terrible now which I guess means they throw reservations out the window??? This was great back in the day...
White Monkey tea is fab. Very gentile and soul-fortifying stop in a frenetic city.
Don't come here. They support Chinese cults.
Peach paradise - ice tea!! And mochi plate
Try the Green Tea Matcha - Frothy, grassy, delicious! (via @Foodspotting)
Such a great experience.
Try the Gen Mai Cha - Delicious and unique (via @Foodspotting)
