Bario was really bleah. Very oily, greasy and salty and charsiew was only so-so. Spicy Miso Ramen from Menya Iroha was great though! Love it!

Gantetsu is great. Ask for extra butter! It has a pretty strong, rich flavor and the noodles are springy.

Ramen: Tried 4 of 6 stalls. Tetsu: chicken/seafood base, stingy w chasu. Ikkousha: Most porky base, fine noodles. Bario: Ramen thick & chewy, base garlicky! Menya Iroha: Lite & fragrant soy base.

Can't really grasps their concept of unlimited toppings. Either way, wouldn't have gotten extra toppings. Soup base was rather salty.

Bario if you love bean sprouts and thick noodles; Buta God is an interesting variation (sweet broth and does not do your usual ajitama which is fantastic); Mendokoro Aoi is pleasantly mellow.

Take my recommendation. Try the Ikkousha ramen stall's tonkotsu ramen. It is one of the best ramen in Sjngapore. No doubt about that.

Gantetsu has great flavour & textures, lovely. Not a fan of Bario's really: too garlicky & the noodles are way too thick to have a bowl full. Winner of this round: Gantetsu

Super thick noodle of bario does not impress me. Also the tons of cabbage slices in the soup is too much for me. But the soup is nice, which is quite common be found in other places
