My favorite noodle style of any ramen place I've been to in the Bay Area. They'll bring you extra after you finish (kaedama) if you ask, but save some broth. 'Regular Spicy Garlic Pork' was great
This place serves basically one entree: ramen and it's very good. All topped the same, and with three flavors: Garlic/Pork (my recommdation) Soy Bean, and Soy Sauce. You also choose the heat level.
Garlic pork is like a lighter tonkotau base. Go for regular spicy - I like spicy and even regular burned a little. Spicy cod roe is very salty, but worth adding!
The garlic pork broth is the bomb. Mild spiciness is decently spicy and tastes great! Unfortunately, they ran out of a lot of items when we got here so come early.
Spicy garlic pork ramen with a scoop of chicken gravy is Dojo's specialty. The miso broth is also a highlight, as are the quail eggs in each ramen. Come early and prepare to wait!
That it was awesome! Ramen. They're open 11.30 am everyday but if you're wanna enjoy great ramen, you should come here before 10.30 am because It's gonna long line
Got tonkotsu (garlic pork) ramen with extra wakame (fresh seaweed). So good! Just remember to dunk your toppings in the broth so they are warm!
Be prepared to wait: it's popular and tiny inside. Make sure to get your name on the list outside the door or else you'll be waiting a long time! You can't go wrong with anything they offer here.
Garlic Spicy Pork for the win! The broth is absolutely fantastic. Go "regular spicy"...extra spicy would be way too spicy. Go for extra noodles, seaweed (roasted) and egg. Then, thank me later
Extra spicy pork (isn't too spicy) with fresh seaweed is Big Hitter ramen. Get there at 11:15 am if you want to make first sitting. Ask for two waters when you're seated
Disappointed. The broth wasn't seasoned properly and the egg was a cold afterthought. Must have been a bad day based on all the hype. I love ramen enough to enjoy OK ramen, didn't enjoy this at all.
Try the soy sauce ramen - The broth was not my first choice but was tasty nonetheless. But the real star was the al dente noodles on the side! Worth the trip to San Mateo.
My favorite ramen spot to this day in the bay area. There's always a line even before it's opened, but totally worth the wait! Spicy garlic pork with extra garlic!
Make sure you go early to avoid the line! also they have a possibility to run out of broth so make sure you get the most popular one (spicy garlic pork) !
The regular spicy garlic pork was excellent. Mild may be just spicy enough for some. Go extra noodle and quail egg!
Ehh just ok. Eggs over-cooked, and they don't give enough soup. Soup's not as flavorful as I expected. There's only wavy noodle choice here, it's good but not outstanding.
Amazing garlic and pork ramen! Def come before 530PM dinner opening (at around 5) to get in line and get slotted for first round of seating.
Think this place has gone downhill - not much broth and average toppings. There was no wait on friday night. Must be reason why. Check our kagura on Baldwin ave instead.... Much better!!
Best ramen in the Bay Area. Get there at 5 before it opens to be in the first seating. Get the garlic pork flavor with fresh seaweed.
Better then Himawari! Better then Santa Ramen! Come here early and get in the list as soon as possible! Spicy garlic ramen with pork is to die for.
Absolutely love the ramen here and the soup is fantastic! I prefer adding roasted seaweed and an egg
Garlic pork ramen ftw. Regular is pretty spicy. Wish bamboo shoots were included but they're not! Lots of toppings to add-on though. Delish.
Get here early! On Sunday there were people waiting at 4:35p. By 5:15p the line was 30+ people long (well into the second seating).
Max capacity is 24- get there 20-30 min before opening to get a seat. Garlic pork flavor seems to be the popular choice
Make sure you put your name on the list so you get called to be seated. Don't call people out who arrived after you that are getting seated before you.
They only seat 30 people at a time so be patient with the wait! Good garlic ramen :)
Try the Garlic Pork Flavor Ramen - Best ramen in the Bay. I added extra garlic, extra pork, corn and roasted seaweed.
Tiny restaurant with long lines, but worth the wait! Get the spicy garlic pork ramen!
Must order deep fried taco yaki! Surprisingly authentiv! Ramen is so awesome too!
Almost as good as Ippudo (NYC).. Not as ambient and fun, but definitely tasty. Fried squid legs are great.
Had to wait 25 mins for a table but SO worth it! Mild spicy garlic pork with extra pork! Broth is so good :-)
their noodles have a really good texture; still kinda chewy! love the soy bean soup base. add bamboo shoots!
Broth is thick and contains chunks of ground chicken (hence, gravy). The extra spicy isn't as spicy as people say!
This is the old Santa Ramen location before they moved to the plaza with Nijiya Market. Same owners, same ramen, different styles.
Get here early for lunch. The place fills up immediately. There is always a line but the wait is worth it!
Try the Garlic Pork Flavor Extra Spicy Ramen with Extra Roast Pork, Quail Eggs, Corn, and Spicy Cod Roe
Know what my favorite part was? Those roasted garlic cloves! What a yummy idea. Next time, I'm ordering extra!
Garlic pork ramen is to die for...the broth here is amazing. Tip: get an extra quail egg...deeeeeelish!
Pork flavor extra spicy with fresh seaweed is the way to roll at this amazing establishment. Bam Ba Lam
Garlic pork flavor soup is the bomb! Would not pick extra spicy unless you like a slow burn on both ends
If you want to spare yourself a wait come early for lunch on a weekday or even the weekend.
Definitely get here by 11.15am at the latest. There'll be at least 20 people in line at that time.
Order garlic pork broth with mild spicy. Their ramen style is similar to Ippudo's in NY.
My favorite ramen! Even though I have to wait in a crazy line. It's the soup that makes me come back.
Remember - garlic pork flavor is the way to go. Regular spicy. Extra spicy is insane.
great food, worth the wait (maybe bring a lawn chair so you can sit and wait comfortably?)
