Yes, there will be lines, but Dojo sets the standard for sutamina-style ramen. The standard bowl comes with fatty pieces of pork, mushroom, chives, bell pepper, quail egg and garlicky chicken gravy. Read more

My favorite noodle style of any ramen place I've been to in the Bay Area. They'll bring you extra after you finish (kaedama) if you ask, but save some broth. 'Regular Spicy Garlic Pork' was great

Garlic pork is like a lighter tonkotau base. Go for regular spicy - I like spicy and even regular burned a little. Spicy cod roe is very salty, but worth adding!

This place serves basically one entree: ramen and it's very good. All topped the same, and with three flavors: Garlic/Pork (my recommdation) Soy Bean, and Soy Sauce. You also choose the heat level.

The garlic pork broth is the bomb. Mild spiciness is decently spicy and tastes great! Unfortunately, they ran out of a lot of items when we got here so come early.

Spicy garlic pork ramen with a scoop of chicken gravy is Dojo's specialty. The miso broth is also a highlight, as are the quail eggs in each ramen. Come early and prepare to wait!

Got tonkotsu (garlic pork) ramen with extra wakame (fresh seaweed). So good! Just remember to dunk your toppings in the broth so they are warm!

Be prepared to wait: it's popular and tiny inside. Make sure to get your name on the list outside the door or else you'll be waiting a long time! You can't go wrong with anything they offer here.

Garlic Spicy Pork for the win! The broth is absolutely fantastic. Go "regular spicy"...extra spicy would be way too spicy. Go for extra noodles, seaweed (roasted) and egg. Then, thank me later

Extra spicy pork (isn't too spicy) with fresh seaweed is Big Hitter ramen. Get there at 11:15 am if you want to make first sitting. Ask for two waters when you're seated

Disappointed. The broth wasn't seasoned properly and the egg was a cold afterthought. Must have been a bad day based on all the hype. I love ramen enough to enjoy OK ramen, didn't enjoy this at all.

Try the soy sauce ramen - The broth was not my first choice but was tasty nonetheless. But the real star was the al dente noodles on the side! Worth the trip to San Mateo.

My favorite ramen spot to this day in the bay area. There's always a line even before it's opened, but totally worth the wait! Spicy garlic pork with extra garlic!

The regular spicy garlic pork was excellent. Mild may be just spicy enough for some. Go extra noodle and quail egg!

Ehh just ok. Eggs over-cooked, and they don't give enough soup. Soup's not as flavorful as I expected. There's only wavy noodle choice here, it's good but not outstanding.

Think this place has gone downhill - not much broth and average toppings. There was no wait on friday night. Must be reason why. Check our kagura on Baldwin ave instead.... Much better!!

Broth is thick and contains chunks of ground chicken (hence, gravy). The extra spicy isn't as spicy as people say!
