Nothing is good here. The customs have nothing else better to do than harass you for money.

No big issues on arrival or departure but they go through your bags more often than necessary and the visa on arrival thing can be a pain, especially if you don't have cash on you.

Be prepared to wait a while for your visa on arrival. There is no order in which they process applications. Have exact amount, ID photo and arrival form ready.

Cash ATM past customs. Speed off your plane to get to immigration firs to avoid queuing. ✈️

Custom control might be one of the fact to tell tourists not to come back to Vietnam.

Ask for a taxi from the friendly staff just after customs, they'll call you a can and you can pay in advance. Reasonably priced, it's the green & white stand at the end.

Surprisingly no post box or post office. If you plan to send postcards better to do it in the city or ask in your hotel before leaving.

A small and peaceful airport. The lounges and restaurants are upstairs. It has a long corridor of local souvenir shops. The gem section is my favorite :)

Проходите скорее границу и идите внутрь. Там чисто, хорошие магазины и кафешки. Снаружи совсем другое, довольно удручающее впечатление. Хороший бизнес-зал также.

Small airport, very messy (people not respecting lines whatsoever). Not a big choice of where to eat. Found black hair in my Singapore noodles in the fancy place at the domestic terminal.

Expect multiple security, passport, visa checks and strict border guards. Shops are overpriced but your last chance to get souvenirs (like coffee). Free WiFi!

Not the best airport but it's clean and has quite some workers attending to the bags since they don't have much luggage belts. So diff flights kinda share one belt at the same time.

Vietnamese travellers are so mean and pushy! They pushing you @ check-in (even if it's your turn on counter), putting their luggage on your feet, jumping the queue. Beware! Horrible!
