    Go for the sake social hour. Just order everything on the sake hour's menu and let the staff surprise you with how they queue it up. Sit back, relax, sip on your drink and the food will flow out

    i had my bday dinner here and it was lovely. the menu is extensive so if i had to chose...my favorites: the hot rock (sear your own wagyu beef), scallop sushi, and fried milk dessert. skip the rolls.

    Really amazing. The Fried Milk dessert is a MUST! The Yokai Berry and Pork Jowl are also favorites. The sake toro nigiri is incredible. Great options for everyone, even if you don't like raw fish.

    Everything is awesome but the congee is out of this world! More cooked food than Uchi. Be prepared to drop some Benjamins for dinner but it's probably my favorite restaurant in Austin right now. now

    The yokai berry is divine. Full of flavor, the citrus, sweet pear, & salty kale stand alone, but next to the salmon, the dish is the most complete Japanese dish you could ever dream up. Wow, just wow.

    Best sushi! Everything was amazing! Order the specials. For sake, order dreamy clouds. It is an amazing drink - slightly dry and not too sweet. The place is expensive, but is totally worth the money.

    If they tell you there are no reservations take a risk and do a walk in. Great chance they'll find you a table if your party is a manageable size. Count on a 20min wait. It's worth it!

    Incredible to die for Japanese food. The flavors and combination of ingredients are to die for. Don't waste your time ordering traditional sushi, check out the more adventures menu options.

    Monday nights they have vegetable nigiri - think four varieties of mushroom, or avocado, squash and more. I am a sushi traditionalist and I *loved* it. Trumpet mushrooms to die for.

    Went here for my birthday this year & everything was so tasty! Each dish you order comes out one at a time, but you don't get uncomfortably full that way. And trust me, you'll want to eat it all.

    The P-38 roll is epic, the Hot Rock is fantastic when you're looking for a non-fish option, and the Fried Milk (pictured) is the best dessert in Austin, and quite possibly all of America.

    Simply put, they do amazing things with food. Big eyed tuna, Brussels sprouts, quail, beef tongue, hamachi, all things I'm not worthy of.

    A fantastic restaurant serving up fresh fish and highly inventive dishes, Uchiko may be off the beaten path, but is well worth the trip. Don't miss the Brussels sprouts!

    It's delicious! High brow Japanese done in a surprisingly casual environment. Prices are high, fish is fresh, preparations are creative. Get the tobacco cream to finish.

    The Fried Milk is the best dessert in the country right now. Seriously. Not that you can go wrong with anything on Tyson Cole's epic menu. Just make sure you leave room for the Milk for dessert.

    Awesome food. Dont be shy to try some of the unconventional items on the menu! My sister lives in California and dreams about some of her favorite dishes here.

    This ones for you sushi lovers that want your traditional meal to come with a twist. Even the desserts are impressive. If you want to go balls to the wall try the 10 dish tasting menu.

    Omakase, close your menu now. Also dat wagyu 🐃. While being a lover of traditional sushi I still think this was prettyyyyy great. Fried milk was OKAY I would rather have more raw fish ✌️.

    Omakase doesn't limit itself to Japan & draws from Qui's Filipino background and penchant for street food. Maguro sashimi w/ goat cheese, fuji apple, & pumpkin seed.

    Almost as good as Uchi, but a little different. Larger space, but different menu and choices of fish. Deserts are equally tasty here and Uchi.
