The sushi is top notch. Sit at the bar & let the chef cook for you, for half the price of the other big-name sushi places. We highly recommend that people go here.

Everything is good here! Ask if they have uni from Hokkaido, it's sweeter than the Santa Barbara variety.

Precision and detail are Ushiwaka Maru’s modus operandi. Gourmands love it for the vinegar-laden sticky rice and unusual sazae (sea snails) and shiroebi (mini white shrimp).

Sit at the bar get the Shirohebi a tiny and very creamy shrimp. 70% of their food comes from Japan many of their pieces are unusual and delicious. Try the omakase if you like the adventure.
