- John FloresJanuary 4, 2014Sample platter can feed an army. Ribs are but dry, but sauces are amazing. The brisket is outstanding. The chili is best I've ever had. Just eat here. From staff to food, it's stellar.
- Cristian LöfvallFebruary 27, 2017Incredible meat! We were three and we shared all the plates (I highly recommend that). If you're hungry, can't wait an hour for a table and want a reasonable price for good food... this is your place.
- Tito TejedaMarch 1, 2015One needs to start off with the Bacon & Brew... Beer w bacon candy.artsy, vintage layout. Hospitality is warm and inviting.super friendly environment.Ribs are superb, serve with the sauces on the side
- Time Out ChicagoMay 11, 2012The ribs can be a bit dry, but the smoky pulled pork makes up for it, clocking in as one of the best around. Tender, juicy chicken comes in second, with puckery slaw and meaty beans solid runners-up. Read more
- Tornaparts !October 16, 2013Hot damn...this place is amazing! We play here so what more do you need? I'll tell you what..this!...they serve PBR with a huge-ass strip of bacon on top. KA-BOOOOM!!!! Country music. BBQ. Dun.
- Faithe MasonAugust 22, 2015The live music was awesome. We stopped in there on a random Friday night and the music was amazing. Brisket chili Mac was perfect drunk food. Beautiful atmosphere for lovers.
- Serious EatsMay 21, 2013The hot links are smokier, with a good kick. They could be crispier, but the sauce sauce has a good tang and each element is solid.
- DailyCandyNovember 20, 2013We love any place that, in addition to fall-off-the-bone meats and a killer live music lineup, serves a dish called the Girlfriend Salad.
- Time Out Chicago KidsJanuary 13, 2012Willie Wagner set up shop in Pilsen to serve his “Memphis-style,” dry-rubbed barbecue. The smoky pulled pork clocks in as one of the best around. Tender, juicy chicken comes in second. Read more
- Matt BJanuary 14, 2016The pulled pork was among the most tender I've ever had. The mashed potatoes were perfect, but most of the corn bread stuck to the paper.
- ChicagoistAugust 1, 2014The perfect venue for music lovers with an appetite, Honky Tonk BBQ pairs live roots music with ribs, fried green tomatoes, and sweet potato pie. Read more
- Been coming here since they opened and I absolutely LOVE it! Everything is delicious and the ambiance is great!
- Caroline GlasserAugust 7, 2014Brisket. And the very cool young adults that come dressed up like the 1920's on Sunday nights to dance to the great live music.
- L KOctober 31, 2015Great food, reasonable prices! Excellent atmosphere too. Try the pulled pork platter and candied yams.
- Mike GilmanAugust 28, 2010Cool place with a unique country theme. Wacky garb on the walls, low lighting, and some toe tapping folk music set the mood. Pair that with some craft brews, great food, and friendsly staff- STELLAR
- The BBQ is great. Brisket is very solid and ribs are superb. But try the BLT: it's not what you expect and is superb. Also, ask for the mayor. He's usually about.
- Ashley Moy-WootenSeptember 10, 2014Food was not good. I had the sampler and tried the ribs, pulled pork, brisket, sausages, and cornbread. All of it was subpar. Many better BBQ places to check out in Chicago.
- Vegetarian? Fried green tomatoes, goat cheese salad, macaroni & cheese, and the green blt (minus the bacon) are all great!
- doug kenneyApril 18, 2011When was the last good rock espanol band u heard...it's becoming mstream Killers + Santana...good diversity in chi, if sought. HiLe reco Pilsen for you and the kids...school isn't covering us well.
- Emily JurlinaAugust 13, 2014The pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches are great. Don't forget to order some cornbread!
- Chris HallSeptember 17, 2010Quality, well-priced BBQ (party of 4, under $60). I had the single slab of st louis ribs, two links, corn bread muffin and shared chili Mac. Nice people, good service.
- If your party is two or more, get the sampler platter. And while you are at it throw in the fried green tomatoes. One more, the mustard, garlic sauce is the best thing you've had on anything
- Food NetworkAugust 4, 2014From St. Louis spares to baby backs to the big beef short ribs, they're serving up real-deal slow cooked barbecue with three signature sauces. Read more
- Jered Brown is the bomb. He is the pastry chef there. Make sure you grab some dessert!!!!
- Order the Fried Green BLT's. Get them with the goat cheese rounds. You will be happy.
- Nick AlonzoFebruary 9, 2013Wether you're waiting for take out or dining in.... you have to get a beer with bacon candy! Euphoric!
- Stephanie BarkerJanuary 5, 2013Get the beer with candied bacon! Such a great combo at such a great price!
- Cyndie CarlsonOctober 6, 2012Fast service & good atmosphere but wasn't overly impressed by the beef which was fatty. I like a spicier sauce than what they have here so not my favorite BBQ.
- John AmundsenMarch 11, 2010Some of the finest BBQ in the city - great ribs, tips, hot links. The brisket is the strongest offering - be sure to ask for extra mustard sauce.
- RaumDecember 22, 2012The oversized ciabatta bread for the sandwiches is a horrible idea, it soaks up all the BBQ sauce. Overall, nothing blew me away. Chicago Q is BBQ king in Chicago IMO.
- Very affordable! Chili mac is excellent and so is their pulled pork! Live music makes it a lot of fun!
- Brandon WJune 19, 2010Baby Back ribs are excellent! Great sauces. Don't think it's BYOB as mentioned by someone, they have a full bar.
- Shawn DimpflMarch 27, 2011Had the baby back ribs and the St Louis rub both were terrible. Gale street inn or kingston mines best ribs in Chicago.
- GraceApril 11, 2010Food is sooo good. Definitely try the Mac and cheese as a side. good service. Everyone was very friendly. Will def be back
- phil mcnearyFebruary 22, 2010BYOB BBQ spot. Decent BBQ- nothing like Texas BBQ though. Everyone was super friendly and they have live music! Rib tips!
- GadlingApril 22, 2010Come with an empty stomach and enjoy multiple sides. The garlic mashed potatoes and macaroni are amazing!
