- Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle was awarded One Michelin Star in The Michelin Guide Singapore 2016. A first for street food! A first for Bak Chor Mee!
- Undoubtedly the best Bak Chor Mee that you can find anywhere, ever! Every ingredient is made to virtual perfection, combined all in a well-sized bowl to mix (secret: the home-made vinegar!) 😋
- Rafa LarrañagaFebruary 10, 2017Hands down the best plate I've tried on Singapore. You need to wait for a 1 hour line but totally worth that pork broth with all the toppings and noodles, vinegar&spicy flavor. Best pork dish in town!
- Jia Liang OoiOctober 17, 2017Vinegar plays a big role in the sauce of the Michelin 1-Star Pork Noodle! Served together with m tender and juicy pork slices and also liver! Order an add on meatball soup! Worth a try.
- Riann Goettl SeymourOctober 23, 2021The best Bak Chor Mee in Singapore! Noodles perfectly cooked, sauce well balanced vinegar and chilli, lots of pork (5 diff types) and super delicious. Be prepared to queue or come off peak!
- You’re not seeing double. The Michelin-awarded stall opened a second stall in the same shop. It helps alleviate queues during mealtimes. The challenge now is finding a table to eat from 😂
- Clement ChaiJanuary 23, 2017A great way to queue here is to do it with your friend and order a beer from the drink stall right next to it. Have a beer and chat with your friend while waiting!
- Sawit K.January 31, 2018It is really good. Winner of the dish is the black vinegar. It combined all the flavor. Noodle, wonton, pork and dried fish
- TingAugust 7, 2018The gold standard for Bak Chor Mee for many, but be ready to queue for it. It’s not unusual to queue for more than an hour. I like my dry Mee Kia with an xtra dose of vinegar. Order at least $8.
- Christine BJuly 11, 20191 michelin star bak chor mee. available in $6, $8 (regular) & $10. got the mee pok dry version. queued for about 20 mins, 6th in line on a Thurs at 7.30pm. note the queue moves very slowly. yummy tho!
- PYeongSeptember 1, 2018If you arrive and queue before 930am, you will get a number which would allow you to order when they call your number. After 930am, you will have to queue up and order when they call as you get nearer
- One of the best Bak Chor Mees in the city. You can ask for more vinegar and more chili. I prefer mine with mee kia but some prefer mee pok or the flat noodles.
- One Michelin star bak chor mee. Opens at 9:30am, go earlier to get a queue number to reduce your waiting time.
- Alvin ChanDecember 31, 2013queued for 90mins. soup: rich flavor of pork meat/bones. pork balls are slightly more tender than regular BCM vendors. extravagant with ingredients, dried fish, plenty mince meat. worth the wait? no.
- From the pillar where the queue turns into the coffeeshop, it'll be at least 45 mins, depending on how many bowls each person in front is ordering.
- Gene SooMay 23, 2018Have been eating here way before their michelin recognition. Still good but it's become more expensive and queue is longer. But still very worth the wait.
- Five WavesSeptember 3, 2016Noodles & ingredients remain sumptuous and well-cooked. But flavour now pales if compared to pre-Michelin era. Still my favourite, but sincerely hope they bring their magic back to the flavour
- Noah WeissDecember 3, 2017New cheapest Michelin Star restaurant in the world — and amazing. Get filled on Bak Chor Mee for $8.
- Erik IeFebruary 5, 2015Still the best ! Go for $10 for big portion. So your queuing time is worth it !
- Kuba ZzzzAugust 8, 2016Best minced meat noodles (dry) in Singapore. Also awarded by Michelin star. Get ready for 1 hour waiting in a queue...
- Monica DesaiDecember 3, 2017Expect to wait an hour and anything less is a win. Totally worth it though, noodles are perfect, meat juicy and broth complex - cheapest Michelin indeed
- Pam B.August 9, 2017Use the pictures above the stall as a guide. #2 is pork noodle soup and #3 is dry pork noodle (even though it is mislabeled on the sign).
- BernaMarch 15, 2018Avoid going at lunch time. We were there at 3 pm and waited for half an hour which is considerably short. Most famous dish is Guo Tiao Tang
- Shannon LowJuly 7, 2018Annual/bi-annual pilgrimage worthy. Queue at 8pm on Friday was 1 hour and they sold out exactly at 9pm.
- Y YMarch 12, 2018Come at 7am for your number. Come back at 9.20am. Otherwise just queue for 2 hours. Food is good but queue is disorganised
- Sawit K.January 31, 2018Queuing is around one hour. Three size price 6/8/10 SGD. photo noodle$8 pork ball $6
- Sawit K.January 31, 2018Mild soup with dried fish hidden flavor. Pork ball is soft. Small size is good enough
- Five WavesAugust 14, 2017Happy to update that the flavour is back so this Michelin recipient regains my full nod of approval. Waiting time on Sunday 105pm: 1hr20mins.
- SaudadeOctober 3, 2013Come in the afternoon - soup tastes better, less diluted than in evening. Love both dry and soup versions. Extra vinegar and chili please!
- Sawit K.September 6, 2019He got some helpers but he cooked and take money by himself. Be patient, very slow but yummy 😋 ❤️
- Best la. The food and the queue. Western food and Xiao long Bao neighbours are not bad too.
- Yee YeongApril 7, 2013Arguably one of the best pork noodles you'll find in Singapore: bring a group along, for the queue is rather loooong
- Five WavesAugust 2, 2015Not cheap & long queue, but worth waiting coz every single component in my dry pork noodle, incldg the soup was cooked to perfection
- Suzie PeñaJuly 22, 20133pm is the best time to eat here to avoid looooooong queue :) best bar chor mee so far 😋
- Nicholas TayFebruary 21, 2014The noodles $5/bowl are delicious and perfectly balanced, but be prepared to queue and stink afterwards!
- Chris BelisarioAugust 2, 2016First street food stall to earn a michelin star, together with Hong Kong Soya Sauce chicken stall at chinatown
- Turk ThurajaneJuly 28, 2019Delicious pork noodles in town with a long line to wait. Worth to wait LoL
- Berns WuMarch 17, 2014The oldest establishment in noodles as far as anyone can remember. You've made it here, might as well get the largest bowl at 10$.
- Benny HuangSeptember 30, 2016The soup and minced pork. Noodles with right amount of chilli taste nice:-)
- James Li ZhiweiOctober 26, 2010Personally the best bak chor mee kia with vinegar for me in Singapore... Queues are always ridiculous so best to come aft 2pm. Sometimes closed on Mondays.
- Enrique PerosiAugust 20, 2017Try option three rather than two. Maybe overrated. But worth the visit.
- First time having the dry pork noodle. Very nice noodle. Not those yucky sticky yellowish type. This one has no alkaline after-taste. The execution is refine, not crude pieces of meat etc...NAISE!
