- Hokkien mee. Blue Star #02-26 is a hidden gem! IMHO their serving is delicious! Wet, tasty, generous. And watch out for that sambal belachan punch!
- HerWorldPlus recommends: Hup Huat White Carrot Cake #35, Dong Jin Yuan Dian Xin #4 for fried carrot cake fingers, Yi Liu Xiang Nasi Lemak #30, Ah Soo Lor Mee #51, Punggol Noodles #20 for meatballs
- TingJune 24, 2014Teochew heartland. Hawker centre upstairs has good options for typical local breakfast. Ground floor wet market has very fresh looking fish and other seafood.
- Wantan Mee. Ri Xin 02-23 serves a lightly-flavoured plate, with hints of sesame seed oil. While generous with vegetable & char siew (BBQ pork), wantans themselves were overcooked
- Minced meat noodle. Enjoyed my bowl from Punggol Noodles #02-24. The highlight was their meat balls — light yet full of flavours. Would eat this again
- Braised duck rice. Ming Fa 02-01 prepares firm & tasty meat. Soup was genuine goodness (mine was Szechuan vege). Fried chilli has a lot of fried ikan bilis. Rice had no yam bits though :-(
- Mee siam. Enjoyed the gravy from Jiu Ji Shu Shi #02-31. Just right level of sweetness. Chilli sauce is lightly spicy. $3 for this plate
- Peanut pancake from 和合 #02-16. Generous filling! 90-cents for grated coconut or peanut filling. Sweetness of filling goes well with bitterness of kopi👍🏼
- Lor Mee. I’m not getting what the fuss is all about from Lorong Ah Soo Lor Mee #02-51. Decent. What stood out for me was the chicken strips in their “lor” (sauce), & green-coloured chopped garlic 😂
- An abundance of fresh produce can be found here. Discerning Teochews know the wet market for their wide selection of fishmongers
- stall at 02-38 (Shun Quan) Ask them bread dun toast they say "no ours all must toast one!" told them I sorethroat cun eat toasted! Looks like their bread is turning moldy tats why gotta toast to hide?
- Kaya toast set. Da Zhong Cafe #02-20 does not use the traditional bread, although they offer both steamed & toasted bread options. Not enough kaya
- Bak Chor Mee (minced meat noodles). Tasty bowl from Yong Seng #02-47. “Mee Kia” noodles were broader than usual yet chewy
- Try Punggol Noodles @ 02-24 with extra ingredients. Very nice handmade meat balls.
- MACJuly 8, 2019Vegetarian stall 02-49 has cook-on-the-spot noodle dishes, in addition to usual precooked dishes.
- There's a automated postal machine (SAM) at Blk 110 across the food centre. You can buy postage stamp, pay bills & fines, remit money overseas, top-up, track Singpost deliveries, & more
- FrancisOctober 5, 2014The dessert store (02-43), I tried hot dessert...NOT good at all. I have tried better one at commonwealth estate. That is real authentic and delicious.
- Reymund NavarroApril 22, 2012The Lorong Ah Soo Lor Mee is to die for! I don't find quite like it anywhere in Singapore. Affordable at either 2.50 or 3.00 dollars. Be prepared for the usual long queue!
- Ray LimMay 27, 2017One flows fragrance? Nasi lemak, theonly one that hv the longest Q . The best fish that meat is soft n crispy. My no 1 choice.
- Joanne LeeDecember 9, 2012Nice market to eat in. Spacious and airy. I avoided d long queues n had mushroom fishball minced meat noodle n it was superb. Smoothest noodle I ever had.
- Chinese-style nasi lemak. Unimpressed after long queue at Yi Liu Xiang #02-30. While chilli & crispy fish were good, the decision to use frozen breaded processed fish was disappointing
- pin leeDecember 31, 201802-17 Qiu Yun fish soup is gd- lots of veg & not fishy. It also sells the pu Tien lor mee (noodles w gravy)- will try another time
- FrancisOctober 5, 2014Most stall that are long queue here not because their food is good but the service is so super slow. This simple bowl of Lor Ah Soo Lor Mee took about 30mins to be served...and taste? Hmm...so so...
- Neu TeaFebruary 2, 2015Quote: "Da Zhong Cafe #02-20 steamed bread with kaya & butter (set of eggs, bread and small cup of tea $2.60)"
- Ashley OngOctober 22, 2010Lorong Ah Soo Lor Mee; must try! Awesome lean meat, with it sauce, perfect with plenty of minced garlic and chilli padi if you like it spicy! (:
- Adeline LeowFebruary 13, 2011The lor mee here is really good! I normally don't like the strong msg/chemical taste of yellow noodles, but there was none of that here! I polished off my lor mee in a flash.
- I can never live without the Lor Mee. Not the corner stall though, it's the one along the stretch of Apollo Western.
- Jimmy HorMarch 30, 2014Stay far away from the Ban Mian stall on the right side facing the front! They gave me exactly 3 pieces of ikan bilis. I ask for more they want $0.50! The fish is very thin and not fresh as well.
- Oh ya, this place is created by me . I love e nasi lemak and lor mee!
