The temple is perched on a cliff, and offers a quiet place to enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. The Kecak dance performance that starts every day at 6 p.m.
Such a nice place with the beautiful scenery that you couldn't describe with only words! Famous with the sunset scenery~ reminder here, do be careful with the wild monkeys that may grab your things!
Remove hat/glasses in the temple if possible; monkeys will sneak up and steal loose items, guaranteed. Get in Kecak line early for good seats facing stairs/gate statues, 4-5 rows up for the best view
Really nice spot. The temple is small but the space overlooking the ocean is spectacular. Especially for the sunset. Also the dance show is really interesting.
Nice show at sunset, starts at about 6 pm and ends 7. try to take a seating 20 minutes before on the side where you could see the sunset, but not ideal for taking pictures.
Amazing views. Crowded at sunset. Watch the monkeys, they'll snatch everything (sunglasses, phones, sandals etc.). Can get a guide with a slingshot for 10 USD :-)
Shorts are not allowed inside the temple premises but the “sarong” is provided upon entry. There are monkeys going around the temple and one unfortunately stole my companion’s sunglasses.
Amazing temple on a cliff with gorgeous views. But beware of monkeys!!! They’ll steal anything you have loose on you. Even saw a monkey pickpocketing a guy! Disgusting and terrifying
The place, the temple and the area in general is really unique and beautiful. The show though was nothing special but this is something very traditional for Balinese. It worth to visit
It is not only wonderful as a temple, but the location that mesmerizes much more. The cliff, the waves and the sunset makes it so much worth to go there.

Kecak dance show can be enjoyed daily at Uluwatu Temple on Bali’s southern peninsular. It is performed at sunset against a mesmerizing backdrop elevated on a limestone cliff above the Indian Ocean.
It's where you go see the infamous Kecak Dance at this amazing temple area. Beautiful sunset too. Just no lighting after the performance & its very hot, so be prepared.
Leave all the shiny things in car for the monkeys have strange obsession about it. Catch the Kecak dance, it has the best stage for it is located on a hill & face directly to sea, beautiful sunset!
A bit far (350k round trip with Taxi meter from Jimbaran incl. waiting). Views are okayish. Kecak dance (200k) starts at 6 pm. Evth. closed by 7 pm. Overall interesting but not a must do.
Go here a couple of hours before sunset. The dance costs 100.000 which in my opinion is not worth it. Take off your sunglasses and careful with flip flops because monkeys will take them
Standing on a rocky cliff with wide ocean view as the backdrop, this temple draws much attention from visitors who want to enjoy the sunset or the spectacular show of Kecak dance.
If you want to watch Kecak Dance Performance come before sunset..around 5pm. PLEASE Take care your sunglasses, wallet, watches...monkey will catching it for sure..
Really spectacular temple located on a cliff top.The way lays through forest inhabited by monkeys adept at snatching belonging.Hind: if you have thing taken, locals'll return it in exchange for a tip
