- Joseph CNovember 17, 2014Order the Tsukemen (Dipping-Style Pork Tonkatsu Ramen) with an Extra Egg & Extra Char-Siu. The Big Bowl is quite filling so maybe order the regular size. Add some Onikasu Chilli & 3 Spoons of Garlic👍
- Joseph CNovember 17, 2014When ordering the Tsukemen, try to Eat Fast- for the Floating Pork Fat tends to Coagulate as the soup loses it's heat. A Quick-Fix is to Add some Fresh, Hot Broth to it! The Fat made me Almost Puke!😲
- Joseph CNovember 17, 2014Do as the Tips say here as well as the playfully suggested amounts to add that are posted on the wall & Add 3 Spoonfulls of the Garlic provided on the table top!👍
- Don OkudaJanuary 24, 2015Get the Tsukemen (then again, you really only have two types of ramen to choose from.) Take a 3 hour nap afterwards.
- Joseph CNovember 17, 20141. Put name on list, outside. 2. Have a seat next to heatlamp (night) outside. 3. Server brings menu outside to you, so that you may place order. 4. Server calls your name & seats you inside. 5. Enjoy
- I’d been noticing a lot of places serving mazemen recently, so decided to try the Annex Dry Style here. Highly recommend!
- Michael KwonJuly 23, 2015LONG WAIT. But the Tsukeman ramen is absolutely worth it! Tasty broth and pork!
- Jeffrey JamesMay 23, 2017The pork ramen is fantastic! The noodles are thick & springy. Definitely not like your standard ramen shop. The broth is good too! Add loads of garlic!
- Larisa GrollemondDecember 3, 2017Pork ramen is the best, hands-down. Get green onion on the side and add extra garlic. Cash-only and be prepared to wait at peak times.
- Vincent OngAugust 25, 2017Make sure you're at the ANNEX (the one with the vine wall). There's only a few seats, so get your name down early. Plenty of shops to visit around though!
- Ryan LeggettJune 4, 2017Seriously good ramen. Order the dipping noodles and stand outside in anticipation of the goodness to come.
- Kenny KhuuSeptember 10, 2018Extremely rich/fatty/tasty tonkotsu ramen that may be too much for many. Thick udon like noodles were chewy. Chashu was thick and somewhat tender. Egg was nicely soft boiled with light flavor. 4/5
- LAistMay 12, 2015Annex's soft-boiled egg features a runny yolk that is delectable. The broth may be overly rich for ramen traditionalists, but the tsukemen is tough to find in Los Angeles.
- Joseph CNovember 17, 2014Order an Extra Egg! It's well worth it, look @ that glossy shine!!! WOOOOO!!!😅
- The ramen here is amazing. You must use the garlic and onikasu (red pepper).
- Joseph CNovember 17, 2014Japanese Style Bidet for a Sure Clean! 👍😂🌊 The Best Part, is the Seat Warming Option! Nice & Toasty!♨😂😂😂😂😂
- Joseph CNovember 17, 2014Large Tsukemen Pork Ramen Bowl with Extra Char-Siu, pre-dipping sauce, spices & add-ons 🍲☺
- Gayle AlexanderMay 6, 2018The tsukemen is better than the normal ramen. Cash only so bring around $20 if you don’t want a drink. No alcohol. The staff are kind of rude made my Nephew sit on his own..
- Ryan TaboraMarch 15, 2015The tonkatsu ramen noodles are thick here. They also give you garlic to put in the soup. Slightly different from across the street!
- Jenn ChenFebruary 6, 2019AMAZING TSUKEMEN with perfectly springy noodles. Don’t bother with the ikura don since it’s mostly rice.
- Danielle NeufeldSeptember 1, 2014The richest ramen broth I've ever tasted! Salty & delicious, we liked the regular one. Egg is also great.
- Joseph CNovember 17, 2014Large Tsukemen Pork Tonkatsu Bowl: pre-noodles, spices & side dish add-ons! 🍜☺
- Benito QuevedoJuly 19, 2017Seriously excellent ramen. Order the regular size unless you are really hungry.
- Allen KimMarch 27, 2015So much food. Avoid adding extra pork. You will be full even with the regular size.
- Paul MasataniApril 5, 2016noodles are bomb the wait and inaccurate approximate wait time are not. I do not know why people think this is better than Daikokuya other than noodles.
- Winnie KhooDecember 7, 2014Caution: average 1.5 hr wait; both ramen has rich, fatty broth. Tasty, but too much for me
- Darren KJuly 2, 2017Not a lot of seating. The ramen is really fatty. Unnecessarily fatty. Wouldn't call this Japanese if they don't do this in Japan.
