- Arthas ChuJune 4, 2016Very crowed and poorly ventilated airport. Very poorly managed, lots of unconcealed smokers outside the terminal. Worst of all London airports. Choose Stansted if possible
- Hannah EdenFebruary 26, 2018Absolutely the worst airport experience at Luton. It’s so cold, cramped, and generally unwelcoming and it didn’t help that we had our gate changed without anyone telling us :(
- The worst airport in the UK. Instead of increasing retail space... provide people with some seats!
- Make sure you drop off in the correct place - they pounce on you here even if you make a genuine mistake !
- Alice FungMarch 16, 2011Power points at 2 tables in est caffe, 1 down other end of lounge in cafeteria under the tv, another on tiled column in central island. Power up!
- Erik BergsmaMay 14, 2013it costs £15 to get to london center (st pancras) and 45-60 minutes, so it may even cost less ( in time or money) to fly to london city or heathrow directly
- Nino MendozaJune 17, 2017Only got to experience arriving at this airport. I'm not the biggest fan as it's pretty rundown.
- Jennie ChanSeptember 21, 2013Are the only available outlets to charge your electronics by the toilet/loo? How "conveniently" placed.
- Hopefully the fast connection with the railway station will make this airport more accessible
- Jason HirstJuly 8, 2016EVERY time I travel from this airport I'm reminded how awful it is. The ONLY place I know to charge for a plastic bag (£1 for 2), roadworks around the place, long walks from check-in to gate. Awful.
- Sandrushka KamachovaJune 15, 2016Nice and easy, though the most expensive airport to get from London by train.
- Ian LynesJune 3, 2012Est caffe serves surprisingly good food at reasonable prices. Always worth checking eatdrinkandfly.com for offers. I just got 15% off
- Crew discounts at all food courts. Also for visiting crew
- DianaJuly 24, 2016There's not enough sitting space (pre security area) but it's a small airport so...
- The shit hole that was appears to me maturing into a first world airport!
- Buy your food from M & S in landside it's cheaper and certainly a lot nicer than aircraft food!
- Ian JefferyNovember 19, 2012Appalling airport. Long stay car park 5 min drive. Waited 45 mins for the bus there and missed flight. Advertised 10-15 min intervals. Use Stansted is my advice.
- Jānis BukšsOctober 31, 2020Security control disallowed to have a tiny(50ml) snowball in hand luggage claiming that the item has no approved reference of liquid volume. Asking what is “approved”, the woman refused to reply! WTF
- Elaine DJanuary 2, 2012Take the priority lane for £3. Otherwise a very long wait is what you can expect!!
- Small enough that you will not have to queue long at security.
- WORST airport 3 years in a row- that says a lot.😠LTN should scrap the £3 charge to drop off and pick up people who had to endure that kind of service- that’s daylight robbery! 🤬
- Dan Mondragón SomeraAugust 3, 2020Small but serves its purpose. Has decent choices for food. A bit far from the train station
- Ian JefferyMay 2, 2013AVOID - Quite possibly the worst airport in London. Arrived 1hr 15m before flight at long stay car park - missed the flight! Poor signage, the place is stuck in a 1960s time warp when it was built.
- Peter ChristiansonAugust 5, 2016If you're using EasyBus to get to London, your bus stop letter will be on the ticket, ignore the signage.
- EasyJet, quick small and fast. Security queues are managed well.
- Sharon van LeeuwenAugust 27, 2017Travelling to the city is fine if you need to be somewhere in the north of london
- Behind security there is Real Food. If there is any food at all. All sold out except a crappy dry piece of chicken my cat would abandon. The place itself is a cafeteria look from the 50s. Avoid
- Chris PhillipsSeptember 8, 2018Better than it used to be. But security takes forever, even when it's not busy. You get what you pay for, I guess.
- This is the worst airport ever. It takes 1.5 - 2 hours to get to central London and what ever one saves in ticket prices will be spent in transportation back to London. A complete waste of time & £.
- Joseluis VilarAugust 31, 2012If you change your mind, you can change your flight!! Partial Refunds on plane tickets. Go to www.changeyourflight.com to discober more about it!
- LTN is a 20 minute taxi from my home - Heathrow 45-60 minutes and Gatwick an hour by train. Door to plane door, LHR and Gatwick still win. That's saying something.
- Mayra Sampaio DelfinoOctober 21, 2013Travelling by Ryanair? If u r not EU, don't forget to stamp your tkt at the check in counter!
- Priority pass is now £4 but well worth it. Avoid the huge wait at security.
- Paying £4 (£3 if prepaid) for fast lane through security saves about 15 minutes if you're in a hurry.
- Chris TamsOctober 16, 2011Short stay parking is £36 per day - medium term if £18.80 per day - long term is £14 per day (3 day minimum stay) - cheaper if you pay in advance online
- Sigal ShaharabaniJuly 5, 2017It took me roughly 2 hours to pass the queue, I suspect local passports waited longer. Baby strollers are not given at landing so people stood in queue with babies and young children in their arms
- Boon KohApril 30, 2015Bringing liquids on the plane? You can't use your own clear bags. Only theirs that cost £1 as only those can "prove" you have less than 1 litre of liquids in them.
- Security is a fiasco. I’ve never seen such a mess. Not a great airport at all...
- If you are flying out, make sure you check-in with Foursquare and ask for £5 off in Duty Free shop (if you spend over £35).
- This airport is fit only for cattle, so be prepared for rude staff, massive queued and unmanned counters. £3 for the Priority Lane will be the best money you'll ever spend.
- Get here early.. Security's the longest it'll ever be!
- Nick ZeroJanuary 18, 2015Don't make a rookie mistake of taking two clear plastic bags full of liquid goods instead of one. Only one is allowed!
