Meditate while you're in line. Get a plate of dumplings in chili oil, grab a container of pickled sweet cucumbers in garlic chili sauce, and the sesame pancake with beef is a must!
The perfect date spot when your credit card is maxed out from in-app purchases. Extremely affordable and consistently tasty, a great layover between bars.
Great cheap eats for someone on a budget. The sesame sandwich is filling. Lunch can be hectic and it maybe difficult to find a seat. They have some vegetarian options.
Best bang for your buck. Everything is affordable here and they taste great! I highly recommend the Spicy Wontons and the Scallion pancake sandwiches. Save your receipt (they call you by order #)
The chives and pork dumplings for $1.59 (4 pcs), cabbage and pork dumplings for $1.59 (4 pcs) and the Wonton with spicy sauce for $4.49 (8 pcs) are amazing
2 sets of chicken and chive dumplings and wontons with hot chili oil that's $10 and change, best buck I can spend on for lunch. So good. Can't wait to try their sesame sandwiches!
LOVE this place. Delicious dumplings and very cheap. You can even buy them frozen to take home. The wait time between ordering/paying and actually receiving the food can get a little long.
Dirt cheap but incredibly satisfying. After ordering D4- Wonton w/ spicy sauce (eat in- take out comes with less sauce!), I can't really order anything else. Except the pork buns- when they have them.
The sesame pancake with beef is one of our 101 Best Sandwiches in NY. It's a bánh mì by way of Beijing: thin slices of beef with pickled cukes, carrots, and cilantro, dosed with Sriracha. Read more
Pork and chives fried dumplings are pretty good. Not the best, but solid for this part of town, cheap, and quick. Sesame sandwich with roast pork was also pretty good. I'll be back for sure
Boiled shrimp dumplings are quite authentic. Fried vegetable dumplings not much so but still good for the price. Came in around 8pm on Wednesday and had to wait 20 minutes - but well worth it!
Wow! Unbelievable price for two sets of dumplings, char Sui bun and beef noodle soup for approx £4 each. How they get the orders out is amazing and noisy!
Pork and Chive dumplings and a sesame sandwich for ~$5. Dumplings are amazing and I would've been happy with 2 orders (you get 4) as dinner. Sandwich was forgettable.
I like to drown my boiled shrimp dumplings in soy sauce + sriracha, top it off with a steaming hot sesame pancake, then wash everything down with taro bubble tea. I recommend you do the same.
The service is indifferent, bordering on rude, but I keep coming back because it's freaking delicious and dirt cheap. Sesame Roast Pork Sammie for the freaking win!
Had a chicken teriyaki craving and it tasted like salt + chicken teriyaki loaded with salt. Soups and dumplings are awesome though, sandwiches are cheap and look really good.
Good cheap sushi, a rare sight. Want something different, the beef sesame sandwich is very good. Don't forget to order your free miso soup with any order.
The dumplings fall somewhat prey to a slower turnover rate than their Chinatown counterpart, but the sesame pancake sandwiches remain one of the best deals in town.
8 boiled chive and pork dumplings and a beef or pork sesame pancake with a new coating of stirs hi hot sauce every other bite...an absolutely glorious meal. glorious...
Forget Disneyland. I think Vanessa's Dumplings must be the happiest place on earth. Where else can you get a hearty and tasty dinner for $7, including tip? I recommend any sesame pancake sandwich.
