Ghosts of DC • January 27, 2012Sit outside on a spring day with a couple friends and some beer. This is a great place for some people watching along 19th St. Check out our post on the history of the building.
Frank B. • October 15, 2018Not good. Staff is nice and sincere but the building is very outdated, rooms are awkward and very small. Sink and bathroom are disjointed. Plenty of hotels down the street.
DC Preservation League • July 27, 2011Constructed between 1879-1881 by architects Cluss & Schulze, it was built to house the international exhibits left over from the Philadephia Continennial Exhibition of 1876.

Eduardo R. • March 14, 2013This is a great place to park if you drive down to visit the Smithsonian museums. You need to arrive early, but it is worth it. A good food court with excellent deli and burger place.
Telework Week • February 29, 2012Joining the USDA for a Pledge-a-Thon. Stop by the South Building cafeteria and pledge for Telework Week!

Yasaman M. • September 17, 2018OMG I’m in love with this museum. The art collection here is a must see. The building also is so well designed for its purpose.
Marc Kevin H. • June 4, 2012The staff is exceptionally friendly. Two points of interest: the tomb of the Institution's founder, and a gallery with sample exhibits.
Danielle D. • July 12, 2018My favorite museum in DC. Rotating exhibits are well presented, and truly unique. Go in the summer when they bring in a new interactive exhibit that fills their atrium.
Humberto M. • January 17, 2012A nice short museum crawl (comparatively) with so many great modern pieces. Make sure to check out the underground walkway.
Allison K. • November 5, 2016There is a good art gallery on the second floor
