Cody C. • August 5, 2013If you bring your dog on a family vacation this is a great beach to visit. Plenty of dogs there and all are relatively friendly. Just make sure to keep an eye on your food!
Scott R. • July 29, 2013Nearly always parking within a block's walk to the beach-even in summer! The area south of Avenida Lunar is no-go Navy property/beach but head north and it's way less crowded than Coronado Beach.
Jackie P. • February 27, 2018O.B. is a great place to visit. Great food, great people, great beach, & great fun. It's one of my favorite places in San Diego. I love it. Great friendly atmosphere, especially at night.
Darkest Hour A. • July 31, 2020Love this beach. Lots of stuff to do and great restaurants too. If you have kids there are plenty activities to keep them busy. If you’re an adult and want bars and games they have that too.
Christie P. • June 22, 2017Probably my favorite dog beach in SD. Nice long area to run and the people and other dogs are friendly. Go early for good parking.
Cool • December 14, 2018The South Mission jetty is the best Surf in San Diego County, lefts that work on any tide, with offshore or south winds. Surf will be better and bigger here than other spots in town. Njoy the surf!
Chuck B. • April 24, 2018San Diego has the best beaches!!! I highly recommend PB for it’s laid back young vibe. They also have some really cool surf shops and restaurants on the boardwalk too.
Tim H. • July 13, 2011Renting a house here? Park overnight on El Carmel Point instead of trying to negotiate tiny garages/spots that houses provide. Plenty of food in walking distance
Cathy M. • June 27, 2010For all my SHRM friends - go ride the oldest roller coaster in CA at Mission Beach.
Tyler • September 23, 2014Free outdoor yoga! And amazing views of Tourmaline Beach surfers & Crystal Pier.
AskAboutHoneymoons.com • February 25, 2011nice touch by putting sea shells on your pillow every night with the turn down service. instantly puts you in the "beach" mind set!
Mingfei Y. • September 1, 2014Great to find this little quiet and elegant B&B two blocks from the beach. Though built years ago, rooms are well maintained. Staff are very friendly. Definitely coming back.
Stadium Journey • August 29, 2013Make sure to check out Park at the Park in right-center to visit the beach, and the Tony Gwynn statue!
Tony C. • October 29, 2012Get a nice spot on the sand and enjoy one of the BEST beach location in Southern California! This little semi-secluded beach has it all: cliffs, tide pools, amazing sunset views, soft-clean sand!
Jana • July 6, 2017Walk the beach instead of the promanade. Bikers and skaters make it hard to relax while strolling.
David T. • December 18, 2016My favorite beach bar and grill. Shark and lobster tacos are great. Love getting the peel-and-eat shrimp as an appetizer. Good selection of beers and house cocktails.
