Compared to Manhattan civil court Queens civil is a palace for jurors. Bring a lot to read. The first half of the first day is spent waiting for 60% of the room justifying why they can't serve.
Eat breakfast before jury duty and bring music because the morning security line may stretch around the block and take half an hour.
By 8am you'll find it deserted and full of sun. Great way to start a morning.
Leave your shoes outside the classroom in the shoe cubbies or the locker-room coat area.
