If you like fried kalamari you must try the squid starter!
Very frequent (less than 10min) trains into Zürich Hauptbahnhof. Barely a 20min journey. If you're staying near the station, don't bother with a taxi!
Nice view just by the river/lake. Catches the sun in the morning.
VERY good coffee. Service can operate with out-of-sight out-of-mind policy. (Occasionally slow)
Amazing stationery and other old-world real office things. Like brass pencil sharpeners. And Kaweco Lilliput pens.
Amazing seafood. And the best tomatoes I have ever tasted. Busiest time is 21:30 on Saturdays.
Sitting at the counter is for walk-ins only (which is great). But ONLY for up to 3 people.
They refuse to bring tap water. Only bottled still or sparkling.
Partridge's duck sandwich is worth the 10min queue!! (And now i've had it i'd happily wait 20!)
£9 for a 56cm zip. £6 for 3 bobbins. Ridiculous. Crafters should stay away or go to John Lewis.
They're not big on giving receipts. Which is illegal and you're not obliged to pay without one. When i figure out how to get my money back when i'm not given a receipt after, i'll let you know.
Food on the beach is terrible and you need to hunt down the waiters. Beach full of weeds and rocks. Very disappointing at €15 for two sunbeds!!
Avoid the seafood salad. Huge portion but seafood isn't very good.
There is air conditioning in the upstairs dining room!!
Currently offering 30% off on weekends. Definitely worth the detour!
