Good Enough to EatBreakfast • New York, United States
Seasoned user experience professional with an extensive background in front-end development. i like dark: coffee. beer. chocolate. humor.
very popular with the Sunday afternoon stroller set -- embarrassingly so
this place only accepts cash or checks as if it's 1975
very meh. meh. meh. meh. go to el mitote or cafe frida instead.
small salads are huge. small Caesar plus chicken is perfect as take out for park trips.
bacon on everything if that's your thing
this place is fairly accessible from the city via light rail and path
pretty authentic husband and wife restaurant. husband is from Sicily. pizza is excellent
quite a scene on a weekend if that's what you're into
food was small, kinda average. the flat breads are the best. they may claim to be a cocktail bar, but the bartenders aren't seasoned. was looking for an alternative to eastern standard, this isn't it.
so apparently there's some sort of dress code - unless it's freezing cold slushville outside. whatevs. cocktail menu is small, service is modestly paced.
food was excellent, especially the shrimp quesadilla. bar is average, as was the crowd.
for the tourists. or like gifts for kids who don't live in the city. basically not for new yorkers.
espresso was a little gritty. marginally better than starbucks. :/
not bad, but pricey for what it is
pizzas are sized for one (but priced for 2). also, not many non-meat options.
so the garnish, or I suppose for some salad, is kale and cabbage. now you know, and if that's your thing, enjoy! 🐰🌿
tacos. all the salsas. but, hot is hot.
