Great little basement spot by the state capitol.
Great neighborhood barbor shop and only $15. Wat better than most of the old man chop shops in the area. And offer drink with hair cut.
You can go in around 4 and make a sorta reservation for later that night. Cuts down hugely on wait. Go to black and white if you have long wait.
Best cheese shop around and cheaper than the competition.
Egg sandwich is amazing with tomatoes and a special sauce. Comes w coffee for $3.50 before 11 on weekdays. A true bargain.
Don't you dare set foot in here. There are dozens of legit BBQ spots in the city. You should be embarrassed if you're eating here.
Great spot for jazz and totally acceptable French fare. Escargots are a favorite, along with hanger steak.
Literally a step back in time. Very few places like this left in the village. Get a Martini and watch the geriatrics.
Bud and Bud Light are $2.50 here. Always. And it's a great bar run by firemen.
A favorite historic watering hole of mine Bar food specials are a real bargain.
My neighborhood haunt. Happy hour til 8. Good late night. Get a Blanton's on the rocks.
Only go here on weeknights. Weekends are insanely crowded.
Great east village dive. Cheap beer and buck hunter. So yes, I end up here regularly.
Underrated bus. Great from going from far west village to alpha city.
If you like Ramen, try Rai Rai Ken around the corner. A superior ramen experience, IMO.
