      Thompson was built in 1964 after Dr. Ruth Thompson, who taught chemistry at SC for 40 years. Thompson also houses a lecture room, Bell Hall, honoring the long-time professor Talmon Bell.

      Evans Hall was in 1963 and houses 100 female students. The dorm is named after Harold and Aileen Evans who were both highly involved with the College. Evans is also the home of the underground pulse.

      Sputnik, the clock tower in Brownlee Plaza, is the center traffic point for the campus. The plaza was a gift to honor George Brownlee, alumnus, and the clock is to honor Harold and Aileen Evans.

      This building is one block south of campus. It used to be the hospital, but when the health center closed in 1978, the College bought it. It now houses art and communications classes.
