- Simple DiscoveriesApril 19, 2016Restored in the 1950's, the castle provides a great viewpoint of the entire city. Exhibits line the stairs to the top and most all signs also in English. 370¥ entry.
- Lionel LimJune 10, 2019The castle was destroyed by the atomic bomb in 1945. It was subsequently rebuilt. Entry to the castle building itself costs ¥370. Thanks to urbanisation, the view from the top is not fantastic.
- Alejandro HernándezNovember 23, 2015Come at night. 8:30 PM, not a single person inside the whole place. Pure quietness.Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- SimonOctober 3, 2013Great place for a family outing, may not be as big as other castles but certainly something for everyone
- Diegoberto BellamyFebruary 10, 2023Very small compared to other Japanese castles, but it still worth visiting to know more about Hiroshima’s ancient times.
- De SFebruary 15, 2015Looks a bit different than others castle, but nice view for the surrounding park
- Yuria HFebruary 10, 2014As soon as you step inside, you're forced to realize this castle practically doesn't exist anymore :(
- Rachel CJuly 21, 2014The "castle" is actually a guard tower --the last defense if the palace fell. The clearest English placards I've seen in any castle, but you can skip this if you've seen it all before.
- Gregory K.January 12, 2016The inside is just a pretty basic museum exhibits that are interesting but not really displayed well. I would say skip and enjoy the exterior. If u do go in you can get some views from the top
- ばくりんこ☆April 21, 201542万石芸州浅野家は官位従四位下、国主格で江戸城控えの間は大広間、という家格に相応しい縄張を持つ平城。藩主の別邸である縮景園にもぜひ訪れください。Upvoted Feb 24
Upvoted Mar 7
