- Wilson Favre-DelerueApril 12, 2016Each and every dish was original and delicious. Have all the starters to share and then 2-3 main courses for a party of 4. And follow the service team's beer recommendations blindly.
- Kait GaissMay 13, 2016This sounds like the Rich Table (which we should also go to) of Russian Hill: a really lovely neighborhood place with plates to share and a great beer menu. Looks so warm and cozy from the outside.
- Emily FaraoneJuly 2, 2016Stones Throw is a gem! The food is delectable and rich without being heavy. The staff truly cares about your experience. The owner of the restaurant personally inquired about our meal. 10/10!

- Mike WinstonJanuary 5, 2016A killer date night spot with impressive beer & wine lists and an absurdly good cheeseburger. Also, don't miss small plate "Snacks" like Puffed Potato & Eggs. Read about it on WinstonWanders below! Read more
- EaterJanuary 6, 2014For a comforting pasta or salmon dish, childhood-influenced dessert, and a smart wine or beer from the extensive selection, Stones Throw seems bound for glory in the Tuesday-night-restaurant category.
- Serious EatsDecember 2, 2013New neighborhood spot from Michael Mina vets along tree-lined Hyde Street in Russian Hill. Check out the tots breaded in sour cream & onion Kettle chips and nostalgic dessert menu.
- J SJuly 9, 2017Squid Ink pasta was great. Pbj donuts perfectly fried. Ube dessert was refreshing. Standout was the special, cheese tortellini with truffle and other amazing deliciousness. Plz add it to the menu!

- Connie LanterJune 1, 2014This place is amazing! We got a 5:30 reservation because it was the only one available, and it was totally worth it! The Japanese pancake and all desserts were a stand out for me! Great staff too!
- Amy MatsunoAugust 27, 2014Puffed potato and eggs are heavenly. Da Burga is filling (the meat patty is 1 inch thick!) but super tasty and the tater tots are like mini stuffed baked potatoes. End it all with the Bananas Foster!
- AnissaAugust 23, 2016Great classy brunch vibe and you can still order the popular puffed potato and cauliflower! Short and sweet brunch menu - everything is good!
- Jacyn SiebertMay 7, 2014What a fun and energetic local spot! Great food, fantastic, attentive service and personal touches from the management. I will definitely make this my go-to spot!
- Alice ZhouNovember 17, 2013Everything on the menu is good. Just realize you will simply have to come back multiple times to try everything instead of stuffing yourself all in one dinner. Or invite friends and go family style =]
- Grant AndersonNovember 2, 2013Drop what you're doing and get the baked potato tater tots. Doesn't matter if you're not even at the restaurant, hop in an uber and ride towards flavor heaven.

- Peter BergAugust 24, 2016Great food, esp. puffed potatoes, pate & rib eye/short rib. But the dessert menu is a disaster. Impossible to discern. When I'm tipsy & want sweets, don't give me an SAT problem. Poor pastry chef.
- Josh EricksonJanuary 3, 2016The Nutella crepes are insane. If you're looking for something savory go with the spicy baked eggs with pork.
