- Men's Health MagApril 16, 2015Formed about 40,000 years ago, this is the most well-preserved impact crater on Earth. A short drive from Flagstaff, it measures about 4,000 feet wide. You might feel like you're on Mars. Read more
- Larisa GrollemondSeptember 19, 2016Very unique thing to see if you're in the area, it's privately owned so they do charge a pretty steep ($18) fee but it's well-maintained and worth it to take a look!
- Brendan EdwardsMay 9, 2014Yes, it's 16 bucks to get in. But take the time and it's worth the money. Take the guided tour, the docents know their stuff. The tour takes an hour, and the trail is a bit uneven
- Alina VSeptember 16, 2016Half of the admission would be fine.. Wiki:The crater is not a national monument, the crater is privately owned by a family, which proclaims it to be the "best preserved meteorite crater on Earth".
- TammiJune 29, 2014The museum is awesome, there are a lot of hands on activities for the kids to interact with. You can see for miles from the top viewing platform. Definitely worth the price!
- Alina VSeptember 16, 2016It's now 18$ per Adult! And the Guided Tour was cancelled because of path works. The same 5 Facts are thrown at you on the movie and museum repeatedly..
- Brandon WolfAugust 7, 2014Go see this. It's totally worth it. Really nifty hole in the ground. It rained while we were there. Good luck with seeing any of that.
- Social News NetworkNovember 25, 2013It's pretty expensive but so fun! You get to see more than just the crater, there's also a movie, an interactive museum, and a guided tour. If there are any space junkies in your group, it's worth it.
- Katlinel RockinghorsegalJanuary 25, 2012This is worth every penny of the admission fee. I easily spent an entire day here and would gladly spend more time. There is also a smaller crater a little past this one on the crater road.
- Jason ShellhammerOctober 2, 2018This is a really cool site. Has seen a significantly higher boost in pricing. It’s worth viewing. It’s on the way heading west through AZ toward LV.
- Crystal FauntJanuary 6, 2012Saw this driving through Arizona between the Canyon & Petrified Forest, had to stop. The signs make it seem really cheesy but it's pretty impressive. Worth the $15 and 6 mile drive off the highway.
- Ashley QuaileJune 11, 2016Amazing! We got some great pictures and some new knowledge on meteors from the museum
- Bryce LimJanuary 1, 2014Very cool to see in person. Check out the very informative museum as well. I'm active duty military so I got in free! Hooya!
- Tom SwingleJuly 19, 2012Give yourself a good 45 mins to an hour to look through the museum, watch the 10 minute movie and take in the different vantage points of the crater views.
- Mike ScottMarch 1, 2015Was slightly sceptical at first but got there and it was amazing. The guided tour was super interesting.
- clarice vickAugust 16, 2012It's a hole in the ground! But the hike is worth it! If you can go with Eduardo he's hilarious and knowledgable
- Danielle NeufeldMarch 31, 2012It's worth $16 if you're worried. Free telescopes to look down at parts of the crater inside and cool museum.
- Lears FoolJanuary 6, 2016Tune into the radio station as you drive up, enjoy THE IMPACT. Use the bathroom. Then turn around and save your money.
- The Gelato GalFebruary 26, 2012Well, it's $16/pp now but the facilities are very nice - movie, museum, Subway sandwiches, and, of course, souvenirs.
- Lindsey CraigJuly 17, 2015This place is very cool, but it is basically a BIG hole in the earth. Not the friendliest staff ever. 😐
- Tony-Wan KenobiNovember 10, 2011This place is awesome. Quit whining about the price and check it out. Amazing...
- Lane KApril 10, 2013AAA saves you two bucks on an adult admission. Tie your hair back, ladies. It's windy as ish.
- MikeJuly 29, 2013Prepare to spend $16 per person to see a giant hole in the ground. You think they would include a massage or something for that kind of money... No happy endings here.
- Sarah EhrlichNovember 29, 2010Uuhhh don't forget to see the meteor before u leave. :/ get the dried bananas.
- Divya MulanjurJanuary 1, 2016$18 is way too much for something that looks like a pit. Not worth the detour from i40.
- Cristine KeelerJanuary 20, 2012Probably assumed by most ppl - but no pets allowed :( Also $15.00 admission. Skipped this one unfortunately.
