- Cathrine MyhreMay 4, 2015A must see, but I recommend heading out past the tourist streets to get a proper feeling of the city. Grab a map and go explore! Seems like a ghost town at times but beautiful and historic.

- VasilikwAugust 18, 2012Get the multiple day pass (I bought the 72 hour pass) for the transportation with the vaporettos. It's cheaper as one ticket for the tourists costs 6,30€. (for the locals only 1,30€).

- If it's your first time HAVE A MAP! And no, there are no cars..and don't expect for restaurants to be delicious if they are right next to important landmarks.

- It really is a smelly place. Call me boring, but once you have seen one building in the water you have seen then all. Still it's a good place worth the visit
