Toledo

Get the 30 minute train from Madrid to stop by this jewel of a city even if for an hour. It is absolutely lovely to walk around. Make sure you take the stairs down back to the train station ☀️🚉

Take the tourist train in the centre (€ 5,-) to travel around the city and have a great view from different angles (during the ride you really discover the beauty from a different perspective).

Be prepared to walk up and down the hills. Use google map if you have it on your smartphone. Take the "Zocotren" tour, totally worth it! Sit on the right side. Overall - a beautiful historic city.

Take a visit to a workshop for a metallurgy demonstration (FYI: the Damascus swords used in the LOTR movies were made in Toledo!) and buy/eat marzipan cookies baked here for centuries by the nuns.

Fantastic city with an incredible layout on a hill. Lots of gift shops selling sabers. Be carefull about entering the hill. Very narrow streets. Driving a car really needs skills.

Known as the City of Four Cultures: visit the Jewish quarter rife with mudejar architecture & get a combo tix to see the beautiful renaissance Cathedral & Santo Tome to see El Greco's famed painting.

It's was amazing, fabulous!) it's like to visit a tale or a legend, u have to see it)

Weekdays @ 11PM/23:00 ALL (!!!) Bars and Restaurants were closed. The only place to get some food @ this time is the little shop near the Puente de San Martin's southern end.

Older than Spain it self, this beautiful city has so many things to see you need many days. Enjoy your stay!

La principal atracción es la maravillosa catedral. En 2Do lugar la iglesia de Santo Tome a ver el sublime "entierro de señor de Orgaz.". En 3er lugar dejaría el museo del Greco o el San Juan de reyes.

Prepare-se para andar bastante nas subidas e descidas da cidade, mas vale muito a pena ver os corredores, ruas e tantas construções incríveis ... #VDBnaEuropa

Ao descer na estação são apenas 10m de caminhada até o centro histórico, cruza a velha ponte sobre o Tejo e de cara uma das melhores vistas da cidade. Por isso não vale a pena pegar o ônibus.
