Skip the very long entry line by paying €6 more for a guided tour (on top of the €10 admission). Check website for tour times, show up 15min before, go to the front of the line and ask for the tour.
Really great visit such a unique place.I was appalled by the flow of mostly French people who used flash to take pictures and touch bones even though Its strictly forbidden... Conservancy anybody ?
The tunnel floors get damp so be sure to wear proper shoes to prevent slipping. Also, at the end of the tour is a narrow, spiral staircase up. Be prepared for a climb. It's totally worth it though!
Twenty meters underground✨ containing the remains of several million Parisians. unique site recalls the history of these Parisians ✨ but the tickets was pricy and the long time waiting is headache 🤕
6 million Parisian skeletons were buried here over the past centuries. Beautiful yet creepy. It's definitely worth a visit, but get your tickets online to skip the queue.
I went there 3 times and each time I am so impressed of the Catacombs. You have to see this unique place and it's cooler there than outside during summer, we can call it a "chill" place ;)

It was very good, me and my girlfriend went. Opens at 10am (as of writing) we got there early and went straight in. 10 euros very good. Little gift shop at the end
The queue crazy. It's better to book online or book a guided tour to skip the queue! Also good to have an audio guide to listen to the explanations about the place otherwise your trip will be wasted!
A large portion of the catacombs, which is not open to the public, was used as a gypsum quarry and featured in the James Bond film Moonraker (1979) as the tunnels under Hugo Drax's base of operations.
Book a guided group tour (we used Get Your Guide). Great value for money and they even stand in the queue for you while you grab a coffee. Really knowledgable & fun - it adds so much to the experience
The Catacombs of Paris is just one indoor place where you can have fun while escaping the winter cold. Read on to find out some other good indoor places in the city. Read more
I came in January and although there was a bit of a line, it moved very quickly. If you're on a tight schedule, book online and pay an extra 15€ to skip the line
1. Wear sensible shoes. 2. Take a leak, before you get in line. 3. Pack a lunch. 4. If there is ANY chance of rain, take an umbrella. [Comments 2-4 refer to the 2-hr wait you're in for.]
Afternoon line was incredibly long so go early or sneak / bribe your way into the front of the queue unless you want to wait over an hour to get in. Once inside it's really worth it though!
An incredible experience. Well worth the wait in line, but plan on getting there at 8:30 to gain entry with the least wait. Be prepared for lots of steps and a 2km walk.
6 million people...er remains of people...live...um are buried here. It's certainly one thing you want see before you die... and uh after you die too apparently. Hotel Reco: http://bit.ly/16fiErE
It's a very peculiar place and worth the visit if you are not claustrophobic. Arrive early to avoid lines and be aware that the exit is far from the entrance, don't get lost
Not suitable for claustrophobic. Quite interesting, do it at least once in your visit to Paris. Purchase your ticket in advance and be aware of the opening hours
You will have to queue for 2-3 hours but its worth it as no other city has something like this. Bring a book. This underground cemetery is awe-inspiring, not a scary horror "attraction"
Some people say that the last admission is at 4pm but it changed or its depending on the season of the year. When i visited the catacombes in september the last admission was at 7pm.
This underground ossuary has tunnels and crypts that are both eerie and interesting. The tour takes about 45mins-1 hr. Ages under 14 not allowed w/o companion. €8 adults, €4 ages 14-26, €6 ages 60 up.
The famous Catacombs is one of Paris’ most mysterious attractions. Get there at least 30 minutes before the 10AM opening as the lines are known to get long.
Indulge morbid curiosity. Tour the beautifully arranged graves of 6 million Parisians in the 3000 km tunnel network under the city. For more local tips, follow us on 4sq or check out www.renhotels.com
Go early or pay extra to book tickets - we got there around 3pm on a Tuesday and stood in line without moving for an hour. Ended up leaving as we didn't want to waste any more time
Choose a rainy day and go around 15.30 most likely there won't be any queue anymore. Worked for me however I could have been lucky. Normally you have to wait for 1.5 hours.
Arrive before the opening at 10, otherwise prepare to stand outside and wait. Only 200 people are allowed in at a time and it's about 46 minutes to an hour and a half if you are listening to the guide
