The Park Strip is a nice little park in downtown Anchorage to hang out with friends or play some soccer, football, or frisbee. Park is dog friendly too. There are a few homeless people that live there
Outdoor tennis, hockey, and basketball courts. Walk your dog, play frisbee, several Pokéstops! Watch for free special events like Kite Day, Pridefest, Kids Day, Earth Day, and many others.
Delaney Park Strip in downtown Anchorage was originally built as the city's first airstrip and used as a fire barrier to protect the city in case of major fire.
Great atmosphere, plenty of TVs and sports channels including NESN for the Red Sox! 3 meals here so far and even the kids chicken strip meal is good :)

Make sure to order more than you think as the food was excellent, but the portions were a bit less than we were used to, especially for a $40 sports bar-type meal. Great Hali and Chips!

Good food and beer selection. Generous portion. Half price appetizers between 5-7pm daily.
My personal opinion is that Bass Pro Shop is layed out and designed better than Cabela.

Wonderful (and free) place to RV camp summer and winter. Target is right next door. Short wooded trail for dog walking. Free dump station in summer, too.

The pool is huge, heated, and awesome! Enjoy the whirlpool and vaulted two story ceilings.
They have the best people to help fit you for running shoes. First time here and it was AWESOME! Can't wait to try out my running shoes now.
