I thought the gambling specials like the Sunday coin flip for a free dessert was fun. Favorites are the Crawfish Étouffée, Crab Cakes, Boudin Balls, House made Sodas, and Seafood Gumbo

Okay so the chicken Romano was excellent - definitely a "shareable" dish just enjoyed with my honey... Caesar salad quite fresh.
Freda is an excellent host, the regulars and staff are friendly, and the food is delicious! The monthly wine dinners are exceptionally fabulous!
The bread pudding is the best I have ever had!
Great steaks, I go for the ny strip. Don't leave without trying the bread-pudding.

A comfy old house with a brief but nicely chosen wine list, all at good prices, with additional daily specials ("happy hour every hour"). The food is simple but geared toward accentuating the wine.
On Sundays all their open bottles left over from Saturday night are half price by the glass.
El Taccorido is a small, cash only taco joint that packs a lot of punch. They're open late, have awesome tortas, tacos for under $2 each, and amazingly delicious homemade salsas.
