The basketball court gets crowded on summer evenings. The pool is nice and has a lot of families. There are sometimes some dudes lighting up near the bathrooms though.

Great tennis center that's way cheaper on weekdays.
Weekends the park is filled with birthday jumping castles. People are nice and will let you jump in their castle, usually.
Tennis court reservations are $4/person. 1.5 hours for singles, 2 hours for doubles. Note the rates are for evenings, I heard it's cheaper during the day. No credit/debit cards. Cash/check only.

Very shaded park. Lots of things for kids to play on.
Beware the hoard of jogging moms with strollers. They work out on the trail and show up between 9 am and noon.
Plenty of courts available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Call ahead to book a court for 30 min or 60 mins. And watch out for Justin. He’s too good at tennis.

Membership allows for unlimited tennis, squash, racquetball, swimming and easy access to Lake Austin with the drive up marina. Not currently a member, but lots of fond memories.

Courts 7 or 8 are best. Get morning shade on odd courts, afternoon shade on even courts.
People here are too lazy to retrieve their tennis balls, so you can usually find quite a few outside the courts.
Book a court 2 days in advance.
