Great scenery, walking trail (paved around lake & dog park) makes the time pass quicker. Great spot for kids w/walk thru fountain sprinklers, jungle gym, covered party spot. Had baby shower there.

This destroyer was built in 1941 in honor of Admiral Kidd who was killed during Pearl Harbor. It became known for flying the Skull and Cross bones flag like the old Jolly Rogers pirate ship.

Great museum ! I love the second floor which is more fun for the kids. The first exposition explains the whole history of louisiana.

Take a walk around the lake. It's lovely but closed for renovations.
Used in the Twilight Series film "Breaking Dawn," this park should be part of any Baton Rouge walking tour. The park overlooks Capitol Lake and it is peaceful place to take the scenery.
