Came down for Art in the Park while visiting Boise! The park is huge and well shaded! Plus all the stuff going on and booths to check out were so exciting!

Parking on the backside of the park on 8th St., there are lots of family friendly trails.

Great play structure and easy access. To the Greenbelt and swimming.
My very favorite. In the southwest edge, near the greenbelt and the apartments are some fabulous trees. Watch for goatsheads, but perfect for family shoots! Try it out!
Has a nice path that goes around and through the park. Circumference is a little over 1 mile. Good place for a jog.

Be on the look out for deer! It's so neat to see them hanging out in the park.
This park is good for photoshoots...particularly around fall. Not really a park for running around and playing.
great photo locations here as well. Look for water shots and open space shots with grass as background. Fun to play as family before shots so relaxed smiles happen.
Great rustic bench near Park and Parkcenter to relax on while watching floaters going down river. Partly shaded so enjoy!
Great benches on south side of river looking north/ne toward Municipal Park. In the shade and with the right breeze coming off river even a hot day is nice.

Great park with lots of wildlife. It's right on the river so there are many insects. Be sure to bring insect repellent if you are planning on a bbq or something of the sort.
There is a wicked amount of bugs here. Spiders..flying things..they attack. But the trees are nice. Plenty of seating. And it's fun to watch people float down the river.

Beautiful park with two playgrounds, a creek (buttercups and tulips currently blooming) tennis courts, and a basketball court.
A great place to walk or relax. Not well know yet plenty of room to have fun. :-)

love taking pictures here. The grass area to the southwest is lovely and large. The greenbelt right next door is great. The candids of kids are always fun and I especially love slides and swings.
Bring a towel and run through the sprinklers
Go on off hours so you don't have to wait in line :) also, if you're surfing or boogie boarding.. Get across the eddy before the big boulder or you'll get dragged in the shallows.
the rose garden is simple but lovely for pictures. The gazebo is perfect for closeups with a shallow depth of field when it is crowded. The flowers make a great backdrop as well as a foreground.
