Great off leash dog park. Plastic bags are hanging in multiple locations in case you forget poop bags.

Morning! We're serving lunch from 11-2 on 2nd street SW between 12th and 13th avenues. Park picnic and bacon. Mmmmmmm.
The Boxwood Cafe, located in the park on 13 Ave. has a great view of park and the downtown. Great atmosphere and good healthy eats!
Alley burger makes awesome burgers and fries
Amazing place! Boat and train rides are included in the ticket. Make sure you spare half a day to see most of the park. Get 2 for 1 ticket coupons from the tourist corner in Cross Iron Mills mall.
I have been there twice because it’s so nice place to be. You go backwards in time, and everything in the park is in the same time, also the people that working there. Very nice.

Great off leash dog park. People who want to picnic should go to Prince's Island Park to avoid dogs coming to get your food! Remember, it IS a dog park.

Great dog park in southland...very very very busy most times but good good dogs!
Fully fenced in & lots of river access. The dogs & people we've met have been great & its our dogs favorite park for sure.
Sadly the only garbage cans are in the parking lot. Some people are either not picking up after their dogs or leaving the bags lying around.

We love bowness park all year round. In the summer we love the splash park, playground and river pathways and in the winter the xcountry skiing!
Generations of nostalgia, and they've done a great job with site improvements so far.
Outstanding local restaurant with a beautiful setting in the middle of Fish Creek Park. Make sure you try the charcuterie board!
