My favorite udon in the Boston area. Everything is delicious but there’s always a long line if you want to dine in. Once you’re seated though, the food comes fast.
The cold udon is a perfect summer meal! They make a hot udon in the winter which is also fantastic.
I try to stay low on carbs, but this and Raku in NYC make that real hard. Get the cold udon and eat everything (incl the lemon) for a super perfect!
Order chicken katsu with an egg sunny-side up and cheese. It's really good. Also get green tea milkshake after done with the meal.
After eating their Yaki Don, you can die happy...

This place is the best. I go every other Thursday for dinner with my parents. Cheap and very fresh. I love their salmon — plain salmon rolls and Alaska rolls are bomb.
The sashimi is excellent, especially if you eat at the sushi bar (they sometimes serve smoked white tuna, which is the best tasting food on Earth)
I'm obsessed with the salmon wonton chips. It's such a simple app but so good and the salmon is always so fresh! They have really good dessert too.
So far, everything was amazing. Kimchee soup was very spicy and the Saba Nigiri was super fresh and delicious!!!
Great high quality sashimi, but what really impressed was the green tea cheesecake and mango ice cream!
There is often a line, but it moves fast. The single portion is good enough for lunch.

This is not gourmet. This is straight up fried meat slathered with Japanese curry and delicious white rice. This is junk food meant to satisfy your cravings.
Underrated but solid Japanese food - get one of the grilled options. Portions are huge and very filling

The best place for Japanese BBQ. Clean restaurant and bathroom, nice waitstaffs, quick service, and above all, great food. Definitely recommend!
Expensive but not too bad if you go during one of their meat "happy hours". My favorite meat here is the gyutan (tongue)
Get Kobe flap steak, duck breast and toro beef. Not much a fan of beef tongue though.
The Katsu-don bowl is fantastic, made better with pork. The curry is great as well, even before asking for the Sriracha.
Keep an eye out for the daily lucky special...$6.45.
The curry here is far superior to the curry at Cafe Mami.
Can be a long wait, but worth it. Hour and sour ramen is delicious!
Spicy Miso ramen is the move. Eat.

Sashimi is top notch, and now includes the richness of Hawaiian tradition, incorporating poke, and richer flavors in the new menu.
Try loco moco and kalua pork onigiri. One may think it's a little expensive but considering a Japanese izakaya setting, it's reasonable.
Extreme attention to the food and service. Poke and shishito peppers were delicious.
Get the Makimono combo special! Snow mountain was my favorite, and caterpillar roll might be the best eel sushi roll I've ever had. Incredibly kind service.
Fantastic sushi, and a really reasonably-priced set of lunch offerings. Giving Cafe Sushi a run for its money!
