Oak Steakhouse is probably the best restaurant in downtown Charleston. Don't worry about parking - they offer a valet service. Just pull up in front on Broad Street and wait for an attendant.

The corn sformato is out of this world.
The fried pickled green tomatoes are outstanding, sweet and sour with a nice kick. And served on an old Coke bottle that's been cut in half

We were there on a Monday and apparently they have special menus (fixed menu) on Mondays. Everything was great! The appetizers, main course and the dessert! The service was great, too! We’ll be back!

Prime Steak and Scallops dinners shared over a local IPA and Wine. Steak was a perfect medium rare and side on both were great. As with the hotel, the staff service is and attention is high.

Definitely a slept on restaurant. Pecan crusted salmon and the crab cakes are very, very good! Oh and the shrimp & grits are just as good (if not better) than other places like Hominy Grill.
Order the Picnic Plate for a tasty introduction to local cuisine, including smoked salmon deviled eggs, housemade pâtés, ham, pimento cheese, BBQ peanuts, and pickles.
Drink a Charleston Cocktail, like an Arnold Palmer with sweet tea vodka. Delicious! Also recommend the Buttermilk Fried Oysters, they are huge!

Charleston is absolutely clamoring to try out the tap tables and Bavarian-inspired/Southern-made food. The enormous space houses a large selection of craft beers, big tables, and a jovial atmosphere.
This place is awesome! Given that they have only been open for seven days, they have been doing an awesome job of taking care of the overwhelming number of crowds and supporters from the community!
