Pretty good texmex, but it is not Mexican food-- also, underwhelming service. So my tip is: don't expect totally Mexican food, and don't expect to be whelmed by service. No whelming happens here.
The exterior decor is an enchanting and rustic facade that resembles a mysterious Mexican village. Inside was packed at lunch! Anything Tex Mex is a solid choice here. Try the brisket tacos!

Nothing beats the original location. A hole in the wall for sure, but it's the best TexMex in town! Chicken Chimichanga...nom, nom, nom!

Gringo Enchiladas are great. This is different then most texmex, they use a tomatoe base on top of the enchiladas and a good mix of sautéed veggies. You'll love it.

If you're in the mood for Tex Mex, you gotta try Mi Cocina. Their Nachos Locos are is what they do best - besides their queso. Their Rico Salad is also great with chili vinaigrette. Great for families
Upscale Tex Mex place in Uptown which automatically means you're gonna pay more for pretty much everything. But the food is good and as others have said the Mambo Taxi drink is highly recommended.
Nice little Tex Mex spot. I was told the “mambo taxi” was the drink of choice, so managed to take a couple in. Since that’s what people do. It helped me cool down on a really hot dallas night!
