BareBones Detroit: Go to the Conservatory when the weather doesn't cooperate. It's the best place to go to warm up, feel some tropical humidity, and see some pretty spectacular flora and fauna. Read more.
HISTORY: Opened in 1904, the conservatory is open to the public free of charge every day of the year. It is the nation's oldest conservatory and covers more than an acre with a central dome 85 feet high.
Dave Hogg: The remodeling has added a lot of great exhibits, including stuff that kids will enjoy. As always, the view from the William Clay Ford wheelhouse is great when a freighter passes by.
