The breakfast sandwich, birdie bites, cinnamon toast crunch donut, maple bacon donut is what we ordered and was delicious.
They give out donut samples, lots of them. The Spicy Fried Chicken sandwich is a great start to the day if you feel like skipping the egg sandwiches. It's not too spicy and the chicken is perfect.
I had the Trifogli Del Fattore and it didn't let me down. I really appreciate that the pastas are made fresh by hand which adds to the authenticity and intimate setting.
I recommend this place. Although located in an "edgy" part of DTLA, it's worth it. Delicious northern Italian cuisine. Hand made pasta (owners are Italian). Nice ambiance. Prices are reasonable.

The downtown Sugarfish is a small, intimate sushi place perfect for dates and small groups. They don't take reservations or seat incomplete parties, but the wait is worth it. Order the Trust Me!

Wins for best sushi downtown. Don't come here for fancy rolls, just great quality fish. The rice is perfectly warmed, the fish very fresh. Go for the "trust me" and remember most don't need soy sauce!
Consistently great quality hand rolls in a small environment that can get loud but I feel kind of cozy. Good people watching too.

Just line up and wait for some seats to free up. Only thing on the menu is the delicious warm rice and crunchy hand rolls. Blue Crab and Lobster are my personal favorites. Going solo is great too.
Excellent espresso, pastries, hot chocolate, location, and ambiance. The coffees and hot chocolates they had was so delicious. The owner was so welcoming and friendly. The place was so cozy.

Located in the Spring Arcade Building (right by Guisados). As someone who is obsessed with ice cream Hazelnut & Dark Chocolate sea salt is the way to go. They also have coffee and pints to go as well.
Best part: espresso to drink and gelato to eat. Make it a habit.

Absolutely love this place! Breathtakingly beautiful and incredible acoustics. Helpful staff...I have gone three years in a row to see Widespread Panic play and will continue to do so until I'm dead.
Kouign amann is delicious, with a buttery sugar filling. Macarons are hit or miss, salted caramel has hard, crunchy shells but the other flavors have the right texture. Zucchini soup is very good!
The food is good yet very expensive. A salad, which is not that large, and a drink will just be under 20 dollars.

I loved the salmon trout (melts in your mouth) and the rice dish wrapped in a leaf (amazing & complex flavors & textures). The ikaru tofu is good. I didn’t like the koji pork.

Wow! So good. Norteño style, flour tortillas (with lard), shredded beef chivichanga just amazing, tacos too. The avocado sauce is liquid gold. Not fancy, just flawless.
The shredded beef chivichanga will change your life. As a kid from the Sonoran desert, I’ve never heard of this small burrito. Will be going on a chivichanga excursionto Sonora very soon.
