Ana Maria's tortas and burritos and Sarita's Pupuseria!! Wonderful places to eat and explore under one roof. They also have great and super cheap produce.
LA (Eat) Gourmet specialty items, delicious (affordable!) lunch and beautiful fresh produce all in one huge open air market.
As far as tortas go, this place churns out aggressively flavored, hulking specimens that are nearly tortoise-esque in size.
Quite possibly the tastiest torta I've eaten yet. Al Pastor piled high with lettuce, tomato and spicy salsa makes for a solid sandwich at $7.00
Possibly my favorite tacos in LA. GCM has changed quite a bit in recent years, but this place has stayed true to its roots. One taco is enough to feed an army.
You have to try the tortas! So yummy!
Good quality and the prive is very reasonable.

Great tacos, margaritas esp. The Jamaica margarita. And my favorite dish, calabacitas. :)
Margaritas, get a spicy one. Happy hour before 7pm is great with tacos, ceviche and guacamole. There is usually plenty of parking, you can enter on central or 6th St.

Open all night and they take cards. Cheapest and best late-night tacos downtown.
No place to eat here but tacos are bomb! Yum
For lunch, the torta de costillas is rich and moist. I don't recommend the grilled chicken and avocado.
Great service. Awesome 'LOCALS' deals. Management is wonderful. Inside seating is equally awesome to outside seating. AMAZING food. Order the Yucatan Pork and the Sangria!

This is the best sandwich place in downtown (sorry Just Baked - you are delicious too, though) Must try the sandwiches AND the sides. So far, the pork belly sandwich and spicy potato salad is my FAV!
They're known for their sandwiches, but the salads are the best in this part of town!
Since I am off bread, The 128 salad is amazing.
Loved DC for many reasons. Such a gorgeous venue with a fancy design & elegant seating. Service is some of the best in city & the bar is a great place to have a cocktail & enjoy an upscale LA audience
