Had some amazing Scottish inspired food for lunch on what was a wet and windy day. The star of the show was the Scran & Scallie pie though - loved the addition of the bone marrow sauce!
Food was great but it was a bit crowded and hot! Scallops, fish pie and pearl barley risotto were so delicious! 😋

My venison burger with blue cheese was excellent. Pies are great as well, as are the milkshakes. Staff is very welcoming.
We had really nice pies at a great price. Don't forget to get a craft beer with it.

New contender for best pie... Had the haggis and mash pie earlier - braw crust, spicy haggis, nicely browned top on the mash... It's a tough call between this and the peppered steak...

Absolutely love this pub, always come back here whenever we're in Edinburgh. All time favorite would be the World's End Steak and Ale Pie! The fish and chips is awesome too!
Wee taste of Scotland, tasty Haggis. Great meaty steak pie and chips. My girlfriend adored the Cullen Skink. Balmoral Chicken (special) excellent, the pepper sauce is Very peppery. Great Staff too.

The Shepherds Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding were heaven! Fantastic wee gastro pub with a wide choice of food and drink! Staff were welcoming and polite. Can't wait to come back!!!
A walk up to Arthur's Seat followed by a tea & apple pie with ice-cream... BEAUTIFUL!

Bistro style resto-pub with great food (the steak mushroom pie with truffle mashed potatoes - delish!); fun, attentive servers and an amazing whiskey selection! Plus side - v. good beers too!

The game pie is very delicious although the pastry is just on top of the pie. Good beer selection. Beef chips aren't very good.

Tasted juicy trout with chimichuri sauce, brilliant. Fried gnocchi with sqash and chestnut were so pleasing as well. Loved the atmosphere and friendly service.
Very good food, comically bad service upstairs in the dining room. Don't come here if you're in a hurry, but order the fish n chips or one of their savory pies.
Love this pub. Try haggis, cullen skink, and pies, all delicious. Also try local Scottish crafts/ales, I recommend Fraoch - heather ale.
