Elijah Millington: I honestly believe that Battery Park is the best park of New York besides Central Park. It's super fun, spacious, calming, and holds many exciting shows and museums! Go visit in spring/summer!
HISTORY: The park gets its name from the series of artillery batteries built along the area’s waterfront for protection, starting in the later part of the 17th century.
NYC Parks: Take in unparalleled views as seagulls fly, the waves lap, and the sun sets over Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
Rosaliedje: Buy your tickets online, you can bypass long lines. Very impressive monument and museum, definitely worth a visit.
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency: Today we remember those lost in NYC, DC, and PA. Many thanks to our colleagues for their work to protect responders and recovery workers, restore air quality and clean up. Read more.

Quintein: Beautiful museum really puts into perspective the events that day. I recommend going solo and spending up to 2 hours there. The gift shop is incredibly tacky for such a sensitive location.
Mare Leal: Wonderfull! The history is impressive! Every Tuesday it’s free admission from 5pm.
Sonja Agustina: Can’t imagine it s 17 years past, i still grieve to read all the tragedy. Deeply condolences for the loss of their family and loved ones 😢
Cari: Little museum that could. Exhibits and shop are open following Sandy. Worth the stairs to see the exhibits.
Fred: Volunteering on the historic ships is possibly the coolest thing to do in New York City!
EJ Cory: A gem. Skip the mall, check out the ships, Bowne, and the liner exhibit. Once you're hooked, become a volunteer to spend Saturdays on the water!
Susan Lui-Jimenez: Newly renovated park with sand play, sprinkers, swings and playground equipments. More for 7 years and under.
Samantha Montanez: Love this park helps children become independent
Modesta Marin: The park is mostly for younger kids but the older ones can still have fun here. Only wished they would have built a bathroom.
