It took me more than 20 minutes to get a bagel and cream cheese to go. This is a restaurant, not bakery or bagel shop.
Great salmon sandwich. The coffee is a little weak and the honey dew in the fruit salad a little slimy. The bakery is great though. Overall not a bad breakfast place.

After months of being closed following Hurricane Sandy, this Starbucks location (at which you enter on Maiden Lane near Pearl Street) reopened in early June 2013.
Harvest cookie is ridiculously good - crispy edges and chewy middle. Coffee and almond croissants are also spot on. Good stuff.
Everyone night they give their fresh food to the homeless rather than selling it the next day.
The oatmeal here is much better (and cheaper) than Starbucks!
The octopus salad, polenta and tiramisu are truly the best of those dishes I've ever had! Definitely not-to-miss dishes.

The coffee is as good as everyone says. But trust me when I tell you that the gluten-free zucchini loaf (from Sans Bakery) will rock your normally gluten-filled world.
This and Blue Spoon are far and away the best places in the neighborhood. Bluestone gets the edge for sheltered outdoor seating and gluten free donuts and other pastries.
This Australian shop serves up probably the highest quality espresso and brewed coffee drinks in the neighborhood.
