SS+K's Guide to Downtown NY: Seriously fresh ingredients, daily specials, in-house bakery, comfy shabby-chic seating & house brewed mocha coffee-- what's not to love? Email madefreshdailyny@gmail.com for menu and call-in ahead.
Alex Goldmark: It took me more than 20 minutes to get a bagel and cream cheese to go. This is a restaurant, not bakery or bagel shop.
ᴡ Prager: Great salmon sandwich. The coffee is a little weak and the honey dew in the fruit salad a little slimy. The bakery is great though. Overall not a bad breakfast place.
7. Bluestone Lane

Dave Whelan: The coffee is as good as everyone says. But trust me when I tell you that the gluten-free zucchini loaf (from Sans Bakery) will rock your normally gluten-filled world.
Ben Drucker: This and Blue Spoon are far and away the best places in the neighborhood. Bluestone gets the edge for sheltered outdoor seating and gluten free donuts and other pastries.
Serious Eats: This Australian shop serves up probably the highest quality espresso and brewed coffee drinks in the neighborhood.
