The Ferry Building is very popular, and I recommend it to anyone who is visiting San Francisco. They've got great restaurants (Slanted Door, MarketBar) and a morning farmer's market a few times a week
Favorites are cranberry whole wheat raisin walnut and pain de mie (great toasted with jam). Cash only!
All that you could ask for in a bread bakery. Each loaf is given special care. The pan de mie are soft and slightly sweet. The walnut levain has a dense, malty crumb inlaid with chopped walnuts. Read more.

The food was better than the cocktails, IMO. The Zaatar Fries were especially good, and the Carrot Harissa was delicious. Brussels Sprouts were on the too-salty side.
The mozzarella and tomato grilled panini is amazing!
Their hot chocolate and mochas are topped with amazing chocolate infused whipped cream.
