Delicious tomato and mozzarella pasta and a lovely atmosphere sullied by atrocious service. If you do wish to come here given they treat the customer badly book in advance as it tends to get busy.
Absolutely delicious steak florentine and rigatoni which comes with buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes on the side. Note: side dishes are sized like main dishes!

Fantastic quality panino. Warm crispy but soft bread with plenty of prosciutto, mozzarella & tomatoes. Full of locals. Eat in or take away. Great value at €5. I was in food heaven. A must visit.
Get l'inferno (salty, juicy pork with eggplant spread and arugula). La favolosa (salami with creamy cheese spreads and eggplant) was also good. Skip la summer (prosciutto, mozzarella, and basil)
Very good place, high quality ingredients, good wines. I loved my risotto with spinach, mozzarella and some fish (sry don’t remember which exactly :)). And definitely try tiramisu!! Best in town!!

Situated in the Porta Romana district,it is a typical Neapolitan pizzeria and very famous in Florence. Here you can taste a wonderful pizza with “burrata” or “mozzarella di bufala”.

Do ask for a table in the tiered, hidden garden. Great food, very friendly staff. The salads are massive! And do try their home made vinegar.

Yummy gnocchi with ice cream scoops of mozzarella. Cannelloni also great. Very affordable wine list with delicious selections. Ambiance in the back could be better so try to sit in front room.
Very much a locals place. Everything is made in-house and on display in their open kitchen as you walk in. Great service. Try the pasta with truffles, sausage and marscapone, it's exquisite!

Amazing!!! Large sandwiches with different flavours. I had mozzarella and tomato, and my boyfriend had the same with extra salami for €0.50. Sandwiches were €4 each!! Yum!!
amazing sandwiches, but rather small. my favourite is the one with prosciutto, cream cheese and rucola. sit in the nearby piazza della signoria aaand that's your perfect florentine experience. enjoy!

The ravioli is the best here! Perfectly cooked and stuffed to the brim with delicious cheese. I had the potato and sausage and it was the perfect lunch after hiking through the Boboli Gardens.

Little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The paninis are fantastic, The buffalo mozzarella is the real deal. Try the Chinotto, a very tasty local soda.
Simply amazing! Came across this place by chance and their panini blew me off the feet. Also, the white ice tea they're selling is divine!

Lived in Florence for 4 months. This restaurant served the best pizza in the city, and was only known by the locals. The best: Mozzarella, Basil, Cherry Tomato Pizza with Ricotta-Cheese Stuffed Crust!
You must have breakfast here! Let them suggest you the best Italian pastries. I personally went for a cannoli (I tried the original one from Sicily and it really competes) and a cheesecake: awesome!

Best pizza we've had so far in Italy. Get the diavolo, and swap in bufala mozzarella instead of regular. It may bring you to tears.

It is kind of humiliating to be confronted with the most unwelcome reception after standing the queue to get inside. The food is good, but it is not worth the stuck-up attitude. Never again.

Napolitano style pizza; thick outer crust which was a nice change. Lots of veggies, welcoming waiters, close to city center but away from the craziness. Will definitely be back.

A marvellous restaurant in the heart of Florence. Ask for the typical red wine (Chianti) along with a bruschetta as a starter. Then taste some pasta, spaghetti de' medici or taglierini al tartufo nero
Everyone's extremely friendly and helpful. The food is wonderful. Here, I drank the only orange juice that tastes great in Italy (*italians do not know what a good juice means, a pitty.)
