Since 1727 New Orleanians have worshipped in churches on this site. A fire in 1788 burned the church to the ground. Construction of a new church began in early 1789, & was completed in December 1794.

The origins of performances here go back to the start of the 1960s. There was no dance floor & no food or drinks served - the focus was just on the music. The only products sold were jazz recordings.
Great Jazz found by surprise. Get there when the Shotgun Jazz Band are playing. They are great!! Drinks were quite good.

Great live music in a relaxed courtyard yards off Bourbon. Definitely a welcomed break from the typical bourbon activities.

Nice place in the middle of Bourbon St. madness! It saved the night with good music and the absence of crazy college kids. An oasis at Bourbon St!
This is a great spot to chill. They have live music (two different groups the night we went - early evening and late night bands). the music was nice, drinks are resonable, and the grill is open all.

Great bar, Great Music, lethal hand grenades (if your into fruity rum drinks). I always try to get here when I'm in town for a set or two.
