If you come to New Orleans you must try a beignet. Is also a quite and fresh place to listen to good jazz out of the Bourbon street's caotic night.
The beignets are larger, fresher and imho tastier than Cafe DuMonde. The garden is much more inviting than being crowded under the tarp at CDM

Excellent blackened alligator. I got a special, blackened redfish smothered in a cream sauce and shrimp over a bed of crawfish cornbread dressing. Delicious. The Swamp Tea is tasty, like limeade.
