Probably best banh mi I’ve ever had. Chicken and bbq pork were both awesome. Get with pate. Sounds weird but it’s great. $1.50 per sandwich.

My favourite place in Hanoi - great, fresh food. Hard to recommend just one thing. The coffee is delicious as are the glutinous rice balls with minced pork.

Might be a bit of a wait for the bun cha, but it’s tasty. Great smoky flavour from the chargrilled pork. Obama’s table is on the 2nd staircase landing on the right side if you want a photo.

Rolled Fresh Rice Noodle with Grilled Pork at HOME. The tasty grilled pork, the softness of the rice rolls, the crunchiness of the fried garlic, and the aroma of the fish sauce.
Crab was very fresh, jicama salad, bún câ hà nôi(grilled pork 3-ways) was excellent. Eggplants and tofu was delicious. Sautéed clams was too sweet, and stir fried noodles with vegetables was a nono.
You will pay slightly more than other places around but still excellent value for money by western standards. Great food, brilliant service.
Fermented pork roll (nem chua) is so good here. Try it with chilli sauce
