Ariel Elizabeth: A great patio, good margaritas, and yummy queso here. Ask for lobster enchiladas with a flour tortilla. It's not on the menu, but it should be. They're amazingly delicious!

Allen Arcade: The Teriyaki Ribeye Maki with avocado and sweet potato is great as either an entree or group appetizer.

Dustin Lyday: Their diner coffee is magic. The service is great too. Sit at the bar and get a milk shake. Authentic and classic Houston breakfast.
Cathal Keane: Breakfast All Day is the way to my heart. Eggs, pancakes, and several cups of diner coffee..mmm. I recommend the super six. It IS spicy. You're warned.
Allen Arcade: Breakfast isn't so bad. Though neither the food nor service is as good as the 59 Diner on Shepherd.
Büşra Sertalp: Crab cak sliders and grilled oysters! I can't say more. Cocktails are also amazing
Houston Press: Pappas Seafood is now a mini-empire, but the Lower Shepherd location doesn't feel like part of a chain after three decades in the same location, just outside of Montrose. Read more.
Christine Ha: Only come for the oyster special: $7/dozen for Gulf Coast. Comes with mignonette 👍🏼. Other food is meh. Long waits during oyster season.

celli59: Great tex-mex. First reaction was pricey, but portions are very generous. Wide variety on the menu. Largest tacos I've ever encountered! Sunday afternoon was very busy, but no wait. Great service!
