This is such a great pub. Great atmosphere on a rugby day and the food is much better than the St. Margarets. There is always something going on and the clientele are friendly and attracts all ages

We had a delicious lunch at The Rose. Staff is lovely and cheerful. We enjoyed our burgers. Place is not like a traditional pub, it is a good mixture of pub and medeterrian bistro.

Nice atmosphere and a good escape from the crowded bars in other surrounding pubs. I've had a couple of dodgy pints though so choose carefully (or drink bottled).
Good beer, comfortable, lets dogs in (and gave us a bowl of water and dog biscuits), good £10 deal on a very good burger + a beer, and friendly staff. Staff need better communication.

They've changed the menu recently and it's much better now, try the thai curry carpaccio, really tasty. Much better service upstairs on the restaurant.
